It's going to be the largest Hindu temple in the world. It is also a planetarium that depicts the Puranic description of the structure of the universe.

Ooh, I'll definitely get tickets to see that

You know, there is something highly therapeutic about coming here, and watching people of various religious beliefs coexisting and enjoying depictions of members of other religious communities partaking in their faiths. You know, it serves as a nice rope of hope amidst all the uncool Breaking News.

As per some more Confucian stuff. I kinda know I am spamming, but seeing how Confucianism is kinda underrepresented on Religions Stage, here comes:

You all knew it was coming, there's no way I can get off the spamming spree. Today, we are going to take a look to very important sphere of Confucianism, the Korean one. Take a little history recap:

Republic of Korea (South Korea, my official Favorite Obsession Target of Love country) has the second largest quantity of Confucian shrines, after China, and, it served as state religion and ideology during the famous Joseon dynasty, after the fall of preceding Goryeo dynasty. Korean authorities ordered these Confucian shrines to be established throughout the kingdom. Confucianism rose to be one of the universal characteristics defining the Post Three Kingdoms era, while Buddhism more clearly defines Three Kingdoms era.

The Confucian shrines, called Seowon in Korean, also provided education for the high Yangban class and thus doubled as universities. With Japanese occupation, modernization and ultimately Christianization, they no longer serve their original glory :/

Here are the pics:
