I guess kids prefer lady gaga these days. Most of the kids I knew when I was 15 liked Floyd. Apart from the ones who liked Wham and Spandau Ballet...But they were xxxx heads anyway

yeah I wasn't really trying to find 15 year old Floyd fans :3 Just Floyd fans in general. Its really hard to find them at my high school. And all the people there make fun of me for liking rock music, like in our art classes we have a radio and no one will even let me listen to the rock station for even a single song :/

I feel for you growing up in a Lady Gaga zombie world. :)

A Pink Floyd fan is anybody who has listened to Pink Floyd and has any taste in good music. They do tend to get a little masturbatory with some stuff, but the payoff is worth it.

High Hopes, and Echoes are perhaps their best songs, also shine on you crazy diamond, parts VI-IX. okay wait, Fat old sun too. and comfortably numb, us and them, and breathe, and the great gig in the sky. What was the question?

My favorite Punk Floyd albums are:

Ummagumma - (I've seen them do several of the songs from this live on two occasions...)
Meddle - Echoes... is probably one of the greatest modern musical pieces ever written imho.
The Wall - Tortured genius that really was the end of Pink Floyd... as a band they never recovered from it
Animals - I saw Sheep live when it was called "Ravin' and Droolin'" Awesome stuff
A saucerful of secrets - Richard Wright took the majority of the vocals on this one and it is a classic. Pity Syd was no longer coherent.

Are you serious? It is the sign of a failed culture when the youth no longer likes rock. Mainstream pop and rap garbage isn't even real music; it has no artistic merit. What ever happened to having taste and appreciation for stuff of depth and substance?

I like Floyd.... The earlier the better.

No one has mentioned 'More' or 'Obscured by the Clouds', the previous probably gets more play than any of my other Floyd. All but two of the songs are SUPER mellow.

I'm posting these because I don't think this is a very commonly known album, at least it's not always on the shelf to buy or on people download radar. OBTC is pretty easy going too.
