Pizza is politically incorrect

The pizza they served at my elementary school was horrible. It was so bad I threw up after eating it. It took a while before I could really enjoy pizza.

I liked spaghetti, though. Then they said that we're not supposed to call it "spaghetti" anymore; everyone calls it "pasta" now. "Spaghetti" is out of date.

I never could understand political correctness.

The pizza did the same thing to me. I brought a bag lunch on days pizza was served. I wouldn't eat the spaghetti, though, either.

When I say I'm serving spaghetti, it will probably look something like this:

If I say I'm serving pasta, it may look more like this...

Two very different things in my mind.

As usual, we have little idea what you're getting at.
So I'll bite...
What's wrong with pizza?
With whom?
Was there something in the news?

You know, I've been avoiding pizza.... but now I might just start eating it more often...

I had pizza in Italy that was not as good as CA pizza. Not true for all places, of course, but it's possible and does exist or at least did exist in the 1990's.
The Italian pizzas I've had here aren't as good as California pizzas. We have a light and crispy crust, heaps of fresh toppings, the spicy cupped pepperoni, and all sorts of tasty sauces and toppings.
