Place of miracles in today's time.

I disagree, the only power which is unique to God is the ability to change reality without natural means of doing so, therefore we have to know the means by which they perform the change in order to know it is supernatural and not natural.

Otherwise David Copperfield, Sai Baba and numerous other miracle workers could be said to be the trustees of God.

In my opinion.

It's not about the power being unique to God, but would he entrust such power to servants that are deceivers and liars?

The same thing that would show the day of judgment in theory would be a proof for God and his authority and his Prophets and trusted witnesses, shows miracles to be a proof.

This would be like saying on the day of judgment, people will have no reason to believe still and are justified to doubt. It doesn't make sense.

I concur. Miracles totally distract from any teaching about improving lives. Gullible people focus on the miracles, and not the teaching. In my view, no great teachers perform(ed) miracles, for this very reason.

They don't distract at all and only effect really those who witness the miracles. They show the person is not just talking and claiming power and authority but truly clearly has it.

You could ask the question more generally would God give power to deceivers and liars, then think that God gave the power to the politicians of the US, Russia, India and other nuclear powers to level entire cities.

Clearly God has no problem with empowering liars.

In my opinion.

To me it's the opposite. Everyone who can't perform miracles and tries to take religious authority are the real charlatans.

if a true miracle occurred, would people even believe it?

would it not fade from memory rapidly, and require even more extraordinary miracles as time went on to keep people even somewhat interested?

I don’t know the answers, but I tend to be skeptical about the value of miracles as a means of making people “believe” in something spiritual

How to you distinguish an actual and authentic miracle from being duped by a person? What is the test in reality?

I believe miracles have a place in today's time too not just the future and the past, and it's alluded that Imam Mahdi will show the miracles, if we pray to God frequently both in Quran and ahadith. Du'a arifina nafsika is clear, but also Quran when it has discussed the signs said for every people there is a guide that can show these signs and who the signs prove and else where it said the hiding is up to God and else where said about them asking for such clear proof, he guides to himself those who often turn to him and else where said he has shown the signs to a people who are certain. Those who ask God frequently believing in what Quran has said about guidance, miracles, and the guide, I believe they will be shown and be guided by the hands of Imam Mahdi and he will show clear miracles and proofs. Ibrahim asked God to show him clear proofs - show him how to raise the dead, so he can have tranquility. We have the right as well in my view.

The only difference is Imam Mahdi is not in public view, and miracles are not in public view in front of masses.
Personally i do not believe in magical miracle:) but miracle happens every day, just that humans no longer see it as miracle from Allah

Miracles only are inferred after known change and life attacked survived.

As humans for humans being human.

So you basically ask why as a scientist.

Phenomena spirit manifestation fro evil burnt mass was science proof that before creation or caused space as burnt out and gone origin form is the spiritual being.

Proving we were first that spiritual being.

As a human.

So there is no external miracle the miracle was only with the human self.

If we came from a spirit being then we owned our own teaching of proof then we did.

Actually as a human topic about humans.

Revelation miraculously predicted the future. It said that two demons (dragon and son beast) would defeat and occupy (and corrupt) Iraq, and they would be known as the Whore of Babylon (defined in Revelation 17:18 as the most powerful nation in the world). It is a miracle that a coalition of many nations was formed in mere hours. All things came to pass, exactly as predicted.

So, of course I believe in miracles, too.

However, there are a lot of people who do not believe as I do, so we must bring them along slowly.

I think that what you are saying is that the big bang proves the existence of God. No, it doesn't.

Interesting Clara Tea , do you have a thread discussing Rev 17 & 18?

Link, there is a scientific theory that human consciousness may interact with electrons, like flipping their spin direction? If so, then electrons must be conscious, and it would thus follow that the whole universe is one conscious entity. I have a feeling that this theory is on the right path and would suggest for example that Jesus was able to do miracles through his perfect mind which was one with God. .

The word of God. Humans using words discuss God.

God the word G O D is discussed as circular O spiral G rotation as the movement that the creator created via. Movement not form.

As any statement the state meant is only thought upon first.

A thought does not own anything.

So no I did not make that claim.

Science said I believe the eternal existed first. Some of it left as change. Burst. Burnt. Space opened as lost origin.

So it is no longer the eternal. Science for some strange reason think they can find it as if it still existed in creation.

...miracles are not in public view in front of masses.
My guess is that there would always be very specific reasons for this. Easy enough to claim - very difficult to pony up actual evidence. Hence the reason these things might always happen "behind closed doors."

In today's age where nearly everyone has a camera handy right in their pocket, these kinds of shenanigans aren't going to fly. A simple question of "Why didn't you record it?" will easily rain crap down on all your aspirations to claim "MIRACLE!" And rightly so. If you don't have the evidence, then you don't have anything in cases like these. Sorry... but that's the way it is going to go. I, personally (and many others) aren't going to stand for less.

To me, paying attention to and especially looking for miracles is a mistake. It opens people up to charlatans who are good "jugglers", magicians, but have not the slightest whiff of spirituality in them.

It also devalues what to me are real miracles, or as the song put it "Ordinary Miracles" - life, love, beauty and so forth.
IOW, God has very good reasons for acting as if he doesn't exist.

You bring a good point but that type of power people can change and have effect over, and it's not giving one person magical powers to the extent they can for example warp a whole castle in a second, but is weapons acquired through science and political power is through propaganda which can be countered.

I would saying giving the magical power to the extent he does to Prophets to deceivers, would, lead to doubt of power given to Angels, and the leads to doubt of who is controlling the universe. God would not do that.

How does anyone decide to contribute something unexplained to luck, a miricale, fate, timing, etc.
I think you mean attribute. In psychology it is explained as a way for people to explain randomness, and/or to assume there is some purpose or special meaning in regards to a person. That the universe cares and there's someone out there pulling strings for us. This points to dramatic emotional insecurity.
