I don't care what you think about what I say. But I'm surely positive that God doesn't care about piercings and tattoos. The "doubt" thing and the rolling eyes smiley should've given you a clue about how much of a non-issue I think it is.

Having listened to a caller to the Jeremy Vine programme on BBC Radio 2 a couple of weeks ago tell his story about receiving a cut in his gum through visiting his dentist I would not risk a piercing.

I had not heard about Sepsis before but I would not want suffer from it.

I had mine done in HS, its long since healed over but It was similar to getting my ears pierced but it stayed sore for a longer time. My piercer recommended avoiding hot and caffeinated drinks as well as avoiding spicy or high temperature food.

Sounds similar to the tongue piercing. I used to have my tongue pierced.

What you should know is that many people, myself included, when they see a girl with their lips or tongue pierced, wonder why she would do that? Yeck. I usually think it's a cry for attention. Usually to their parents. Usually more, to Daddy.

Why do you want to mutilate your face?

It's like those bimbos that get their tongues pierced. they are pretty much saying...."I am so starved for attention that I will risk infection and pain and discomfort just to show that I am adept at oral sex."

I got my lip pierced about 11 years ago. It's not much different from getting your ears pierced. Just keep it clean and don't play it. They heal pretty quickly. Ignore the troll spewing bs in this thread.

Thanks. I know that their are some similarities when getting the tongue piercing. I used to have my tongue pierced.

It doesn't hurt too bad (it actually made me really super horny), but eating may be difficult for a day or two as the muscles of your lip are moved around.
And do not use neosporin or hydrogen peroxide on it. These will hinder healing. Instead use a mixture of water and sea salt to clean it. And clean it often, especially during the first couple weeks.
Healing will take approximately six to eight weeks.
Do watch playing with it, and especially rubbing it up against your teeth.

I have watched videos to need to use H 2 ocean to keep the piercing from getting infected while it is healing.

I think it would be sufficient to know that when you actually get your lip pierced, you will be breaking one of the laws of Moses, who claims to have received this commandment from God Himself. I hope your piercing makes you feel better about yourself. While I don't know of anyone who has felt better by breaking God's commandments, it may very well be that you'll be the first.
