Pollyanna syndrome and determinism

There are countless prostitutes out there who are completely childless.
And I am sure they have had sex thousands of times ....in their lives.
Good for them.

I'm sure many of them also engaged in practices that your conservative italian elites would consider "ungodly", like abortion and morning after pills and etc when "accidents" occurred.

I don't know whether élites have sex. They probably spend their time counting their money.

As for those who vote "Right-wing", I mean...they are not "holy".

Did you forget the word Bunga Bunga, and Berlusconi?

When I used to watch Pollyanna anime...I had the impression this child was exaggeratedly optimistic.
I identified with her aunt...who was more realistic...I guess. That was my favorite character.

But I didn't realize that in psychology there was this syndrome of people who in my opinion are too deterministic...that is they are exaggeratedly optimistic and their choices are without caution or prudence at all.
Fear is not negative. It makes us prudent.
We must rely on our free will: the others cannot and must not control our own lives because they have no idea what our life looks life.
Do not trust those who say "it will be all right in the end". Make your own choice.

Thoughts?

I wonder how close this is to the idea that God has a plan for you.
I went through a large part of my life with the idea that whatever happen, there was some purpose behind it.
It worked for as long as I held it.
Yes a reasonable fear is probably more sensible, however I never ran into any problems having this attitude. I imagine one might go through their entire life with a optimistic attitude without any trouble.

Rationally, there is no justification for it. In practice, it worked.
Whether I make my own choices or I let life make the choices for me, I not sure one view has any benefit over the other. Choices you make for yourself as as likely to go turn to crap except when it does turns to crap you can only blame yourself.

My current view is that "stuff is going to happen". Regardless of whether as a result of my decisions or simply the circumstances of what is going on around me. How I deal with it more important than how they came about.

As a free will believer, I don't believe in this notion.
God didn't decide my existence.
My existence is due to the fact that my parents had sex. God has nothing to do with that.

God gave us freedom. He just wants us not to hurt anybody.
Which means we can do millions of things. Millions of things can be done without hurting anybody.
