To comply with the commandment of “multiply and subdue the creation” they needed to have humans offspring. The natural instinct is toward females of the species.
Procreating deals with only one half of that commandment. By itself, it doesn't do anything about the "subdue the creation" part.

Wouldn't you say that a gay person who "subdues the creation" fulfils that commandment just as much as a heterosexual person who does not?

You are reading into scripture, what it does not say, the help that Eve was created to give Adam was that of procreation, none of the animals was suited for the job, and nor it was another man.
The Bible says that Eve was created because it was not good for Adam to be alone, and he had no suitable helper. It's right there in Genesis 2:18:

The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."

It goes on to say in verse 20 that Eve was created because none of the animals were suitable helpers for Adam. It says nothing about mating... which I think makes sense in the context of a story, because why would Adam and Eve, who were at that point living immortally in the Garden of Eden, need to procreate anyhow?

Adam could not multiply humanity by matting them. Could he?

As I said the male and female of the creation got nothing to do with companionship, it got to do with procreation.
Adam could also not talk to the animals in a meaningful way. Personally, I think the characteristic of Eve that made her a suitable "helper" to Adam was intelligence, not just the posession of a uterus.

Best think before you speak. I never said people shouldn't have self control. Of course people should have self control. It's called responsibility and balance, and I can see why mentality stunted fundamentalists cannot see beyond one extreme or another. You're not very bright if you actually think impulsive and reckless promiscuity and repressive abstinence are the only two possibilities. Again, it something called responsibility. You can have sex with partners you know and trust using contraceptives.
What the hell does that even mean?
Because that's practically all they do. It's their specialty, and serves as an example why a repressed libido is dangerous. How many more children does the church plan on hurting? Is it worth it?

This is a social problem, not a religious one, now if these people in Africa and the third world cannot have access to condoms, because they don’t have the money to buy them or there is no supply of them, what is left? If there are missionaries that go into these societies to preach continence, they need to be able to show that abstinence is possible, wont they? That the desires of the flesh can be conquered with virtues, that is what the Pope promised during his visit to the US and Australia, this is what he is doing, to put order in his own ranks what are you godless, pagans and other are doing to help? Are any of you volunteering to go and give them free condoms so that they can satisfy their desires, careful though some may want to have you, if every thing go and it is your view the repressing peoples libido is ridiculous, you may get lucky.

All of this centres on the fact that God created them male and female and gave them a command, why do you think that it was so? If it was companionship a more suitable help for Adam would have been another man. The other central point in the story is the subduing (bring under forcible control: to bring a person or group of people under control using force) the animal were also commanded to multiply, so humanity needed to multiply, the multiplication of both is possible only by the fact that God created males and females. It was not good for Adam to be alone because he could not have been able to continue to subdue the ever multiplying creation, and he could not obey God no matter how long he live. Adam was quite able to communicate to animal that he was the subduer, so he could have been able to obey if their numbers stayed the same, but they have males and females and creation was already in motion and multiplying. .

You don't have to take it personally. It's something i believe might happen based on what i believe in, not something i have seen or observed. Though, i might do my own research about it one day when i have the time.
Are you serious? How can someone not take that personally? You are only telling her that the her personal relationships are responsible for harming the world. And you say that is not personal?!!:areyoucra

And I'm sure you don't take it personally when people call you a terrorist, just because you're Muslim? It's about as bigoted and unreasonable to say that gay people harm the world, when all we're doing is living our lives and loving each other, as to say that Muslims are terrorists. You didn't say something that you believe might happen for no reason other than your tribal magic beliefs, what you said is,
but from a spiritual point of them, i can see how their act would harm humanity as a whole in the long term.
From a spiritual point of view, we are making the world a better place, by adding love. The people who harm humanity are prejudiced people who harbor unjustified bigotry against others, not gay people.

We are talking about two different things because you don't believe in what i believe in. And you probably even don't believe in the Quran or Bible and their stories. So i don't blame you if that's the case.
That's right, I don't. And I also don't impose my beliefs on others, and say that other people are making the world worse because they believe differently than me. From my point of view, it's people who spread prejudice and hatred who make the world worse, not people who live and spread love.

Well nobody can beat the long life batteries, so there will be alway a place for these deviation, but this cannot be acceptable to a Christian Church. That’s only for those that use sex as a toy, women can get pleasure, but sexual relation have as it purpose, procreation and vibrators do not produce human babies, do they?
What are you talking about? How did batteries and vibrators enter the conversation? Just to clarify, by "Christian," you mean Catholic, right? Did you know that there are many Christians who don't consider Catholics to be Christian? Anyway, if you mean "Catholic," why not say so, to be more clear? Because if you mean "Christian" in the same sense as the rest of us, you're once again wrong. There are many Christian Churches, under the normal definition, that accept homosexuality just fine.

I feel so sorry for people like you. For me, the purpose of sex is to share love. You might want to try it some time; it's a beautiful thing.

Well you gave a solution “Or better yet, just practice only gay sex--best of both worlds” my comment is that you must add that we men can’t compete with vibrators, that if having sex becomes only a way pleasure by mechanical means is affair competition, but sex has the purpose that God gave it, to procreate. Now to the Christian thing, Catholic are Christians, Christians are those that obey God and His Christ, I hope that I don’t have to go around in circles on this. I have discussed more than enough scripture with you, practicing unrepented gays cannot become Christians, they cannot found churches, cannot ordain priests and teacher, they are not Christians, they are reprobates leading more reprobates to perdition. The purpose of having sex is to propagate one’s species. What the beauty of your bizarre sexual behaviour? I find it bizarre. Normal definition? :areyoucra

I must say that I find the christians' repressive attitude toward sex to be quite unrealistic, unhealthy and creepy. Treating something beautiful and natural such as sexuality and sensuality like something dirty, sinful and shameful... that's the abomination.

I'm willing to bet that if you polled a bunch of women, you'd find that vibrators and the like only go so far, and that it's still much more fun and enjoyable when an actual man is involved (or woman for that matter). Just like for men, we can pleasure ourselves, but I guarantee that at least 95% of guys will tell you they'd still rather have an actual woman around to do it.

According to you. Fortunately you're not the one who makes all the decisions for everyone else. (phew) There are plenty of christians who are gay. Just because you don't consider them Christians doesn't mean it's so. There are plenty of people, including me, who would consider you not a christian for your intolerance and bigotry towards homosexuals and others. And yet, here you are, still a Christian. Funny how that works, huh?

The purpose of having sex is to propagate one’s species. What the beauty of your bizarre sexual behaviour? I find it bizarre. Normal definition? :areyoucra

That's one purpose for sex, yes. There are others too, and they can be even more fun. What's the beauty of your bizarre sexual behavior? You do realize that some of us consider yours to be the bizarre one, right? Again, this is all your opinion, and your opinion doesn't make it fact.

How natural is sexually interfering with another man? Using a man as if he were a woman? Is this bizarre?
Wanting to marry another individual of the same sex, isn't bizarre?

I've already asked this once, and I'll ask again: what the hell does that even mean, "sexually interfering"?

Using a man as if he were a woman? Is this bizarre?
You use some pretty imbecilic descriptive terms, but I seen noting "bizarre" about people loving one another and doing things that they enjoy and find pleasurable together. Why are you are so obsessed with the personal, private affairs of others, anyway?
Want to know what's really bizarre? The belief that a zombie god sacrificed himself to himself to save us from him sending us to hell for a mistake he himself made all because a talking snake convinced a nake girl to eat an apple... that's what's truly bizarre! The whole bible is bizarre. So if you believe in that drivel you have no place to be judging anything else as "bizarre".

Wanting to marry another individual of the same sex, isn't bizarre?
Not any more or less bizarre than the idea and ritual of marriage itself.

So, you are arguing that whatever is unusual should be considered immoral? Sounds pretty hick to me.

LOL.. It's all so twisted and contradictory, yet no one seems to clue in to this. Sorry, it's just that I don't understand how people can't see the contradictions I really don't!:sorry1:
