How do I add a picture straight from my possession onto the forum.

I don't really want to play around with photobucket all day.

If it's small enough, you can upload it as an attachment to your message.

When you're on the "Reply to Thread" page, under "Additional Options" header, you'll find a button that says "Manage Attachments". Click on that and it'll let you upload graphic files.

However, there are size limitations. Your jpeg can't be any larger than 97.7 kb.

Interestingly, it seems that there are different limits for .jpg and .jpeg extensions.

And this is the laptop.

It use to be all colorful and ****, but I toned it all done because all the white started hurting my eyes and slowing things down.

I used Linux on my desktop until it died. Now, my only PC is a netbook and Linux is god-awful on netbooks.
Linux isn't really an operating system, it is the kernel used by many operating systems, but I will grant that it is usually used generically to describe the entire family of operating systems based on that kernel. With that said I think you have made a rather unfair generalization when you say it's 'god-awful on netbooks'.

I run Ubuntu on 2 of my Desktops, and Debian on my laptop. If Anything I prefer it on low-spec systems because it isn't a resource hungry beast like xp or windows 7.

What distro were you using on your laptop that left you with a sour taste in your mouth?
