It use to be all colorful and ****, but I toned it all done because all the white started hurting my eyes and slowing things down.

Upload the image to an image hosting site like photobucket or something similar, and then get the IMG tags from there.it doesn't want to show help

Linux isn't really an operating system, it is the kernel used by many operating systems, but I will grant that it is usually used generically to describe the entire family of operating systems based on that kernel. With that said I think you have made a rather unfair generalization when you say it's 'god-awful on netbooks'.I used Linux on my desktop until it died. Now, my only PC is a netbook and Linux is god-awful on netbooks.

I run Ubuntu on 2 of my Desktops, and Debian on my laptop. If Anything I prefer it on low-spec systems because it isn't a resource hungry beast like xp or windows 7.
What distro were you using on your laptop that left you with a sour taste in your mouth?
