Really? :areyoucra In Canada, the general consensus is the opposite: Dunkin' Donuts' coffee is considered the "terrible" stuff and a large segment of the population freaks out if they can't get their Timmy's on a regular basis.Yeah, we have a few. Nobody here likes them - the general concensus is that the coffee's terrible (I've never been, personally.) They'll probably go the way of the Krispy Kreme before too long.

They even have a fleet of mobile coffee shops set up in trailers (they're pretty neat -they even have drive-thru windows). When a location is being renovated, they plop a trailer down in the parking lot so people can still get their Timmy's. There would probably be riots in the streets if they didn't do that.

It surprises me that people would consider Dunkin' Donuts coffee to be better than Tim Horton's... though perhaps you're right: deeply ingrained cultural biases can be the only explanation.It surprises you that people from different areas might have different opinions about coffee?
