Power outages coming to NYC by 2025, and maybe upstate too, report says (excerpts below):

Journal News said:
New York City could face power outages during the summer of 2025, when fossil fuel-fired plants that have been trusted workhorses during heat waves are forced to shut down to serve the state's green energy goals.
**********
“With the additional peakers unavailable, the bulk power transmission system will not be able to securely and reliably serve the forecasted demand in New York City,” the report says.
************
The NYISO report says the peaker shutdowns are not the only factor that could spur outages. Increased demand from the electrification of vehicles and buildings is also placing strains on the grid.
********************
In the coming months, NYISO will identify solutions. Among them will be keeping some of the peaker plants operating, a decision likely to be challenged by environmental advocates. Several groups have been pushing the state to shut down peakers located in densely populated communities of color in the Bronx and Queens dubbed “Asthma Alley” for high rates of respiratory illness
What do we elect legislators for? I thought they were supposed to be protecting us from catastrophe. Instead, they are busy promoting a pipe dream that renewable power will suddenly materialize. Hopefully they can take some time out of their schedules to study this looming issue.

Legislators have been ignoring scientists and kicking the climate change can down the road for so long that we now have to scramble together alternatives to our energy system.

Thank the leftest dumasses for it when it happens. What does on expect when you have complete idiots and dimwitted tards in charge.

That's my prediction. That and the excuse to raise taxes even higher on people who can't afford it.

When "scientists" proposed solutions in search of a problem what do you expect? Do you really think that going back to cave life would change the weather?

Yes, I think humans living primitively would have an effect on the environment. Do you think that's what climate scientists have been proposing?

Perhaps you should toss all of your "medicine" and "technology" into the trash, since such was made possible by "science". If anything is akin to cave life, it's your embrace of scientific illiteracy.

So saith the propagandists for the coal industry, and for the power companies that really don't want to upgrade or change anything because that cuts into their profits.
It's beyond sad that people are imbecilic enough to believe that fossil fuel lobbyists are somehow more honest and trustworthy than scientists. The former has reason to deceive as they're trying to protect profits. Why would scientists lie? For ****s and giggles?

It appears that you are unaware that green energy has kept the state of Texas' grid system going or it would have crashed earlier this year.

Your source is not readable. without a subscription. So it is hard to see if you are being accurate in your quotes. From the little bit that you quoted the shutdown of some the plants appears to be more health related than due to AGW concerns.

You should know that AGW is a fact. If not there are plenty of online sources that can explain it to you. Are you advocating for more green sources? Are you advocating for more nuclear?

I'm noticing that I"m hearing less and less denials of global warming coming from the right lately. Gee, I wonder why?

BTW, the Gulf water is the hottest it's been since records were kept on this, and there's still have more heat to come, including hurricane season.

That is just to make it more pleasant for the tourists when they go swimming.

Probably because the left as so far is not leading at all by example as to the urgency of the matter.

Why waste one's breath when another dosent show just how bad things have become? Speaks for itself actually.

Where's the governors and staffs electric cars?

Where are the solar panels on government buildings?

They have a couple of wind farms however. Not many but a couple of them.

So urgent the crisis.

Soo so urgent.

So urgent..
