Power outages coming to NYC by 2025, and maybe upstate too, report says - casualty of "Green" concerns

Probably because the left as so far is not leading at all by example as to the urgency of the matter.

Why waste one's breath when another dosent show just how bad things have become? Speaks for itself actually.

Where's the governors and staffs electric cars?

Where are the solar panels on government buildings?
Solar panels on buildings do not return very much. On a large building they do very little. On a small home they can help. But the further north one goes the less effective they are especially in the winter. There are better ways to invest money.
They have a couple of wind farms however. Not many but a couple of them.

And they continue to build wind farms. They cannot be built overnight:

So urgent the crisis.

Soo so urgent.

So urgent..
It is. New York state does not appear to be an ideal state for many sources of renewable energy. Ideally They would build a large nuclear plant. Unfortunately there is extreme prejudice against nuclear plants from both the left and the right.

I would love to see nuclear and lower prices as a result.

But in the People's Republic of New York, it just doesn't work that way.

Yep. All good by the organizers themselves, however are they personally doing their expected part as well?

Lead by example.

So, it turns out that solar panels are being constructed on government buildings. it turns out that wind farms are being built. It turns out that governments around the world do actually seem to think this is urgent.

Your response: "Are the organizers personally doing their expected part as well?" (Completely moving the goal post and ignoring the facts presented to you)

My response:

Why would they? I bet that you cannot come up with an argument that is not a strawman.
Two reasons:
  1. If their predictions are accurate their highly valuable investments will be under water shortly; and
  2. Getting to Martha's Vineyard leaves its own carbon footprint.

And just as I said, you used a strawman argument.

Okay, we have confirmed that you do not understand sea level rise. Sea level rise is one of the least immediate effects of AGW. From now until 2050 the predicted sea level rise is 10 to 12 inches. It took from 1920 to 2020 to cause that much sea level rise so it is at a rate three times higher. Unless one's house is already extremely low so that it is getting flooded now it is unlikely to get flooded for the vast majority of houses. One would have to be already dangerously close to sea level for this to be a problem. It is only the very very lowest of lands that are threatened in the near future. In fact it tends to be the very shallow water wells that are at a risk on many islands. They are apt to become saline before the island is flooded. People need water. That is how low islands are threatened.
