And if you have no religion at all, your vision of God is even smaller.

I would distinguish between religion and spiritualism. Secondly just because you have not committed makes you no less worthy or less insightful than those who have committed to fantasy. The point being since there are no facts, there is nothing that distinguishes religion from fantasy. Just as Misty said, looking at the big picture gives you a larger vision, then locking yourself into a relatively narrow dogma.

pete, i'm getting really frustrated by your insistence on ignoring questions posed to you, all the while still making ridiculous claims like this. if you're going to say something bold, please dont ignore people's insistence on you backing up what you say with explanation.

and please, dont pretend to understand anyone else's perspective on "god", simply because you have one of your own, enough to judge how 'big' their vision of it is.

I agree.

Why are you proud to be a Christian, I don't think there is much to be proud about? I am surprised you don't call yourself a fundie your comments would give rise to the suggestion that your were one!

At your age you should know better than to say such things, Misty. This is more like what a 14 year-old would say. :(

Some Christians seem to have a weird view of the deity. They believe it created everything but is only responsible for the good in their lives and cannot be blamed when things go wrong! What madcap thinking is that? If God is really responsible for us being here, it should be praised and blamed in equal measure. I am of the opinion that even if the deity does exist it deserves no praise or blame because its only input is in the mind of believers.

Christians and most people in all religions have an incomplete view of "the deity"" as you call It, or Him.

When someone begins to better grasp the Oneness of all things it starts to become clearer that everything that happens, good and bad, is happening within the mind of The Deity, and we are all a part of Him, and He is a part of us. And all is one. We are within His mind and He is within ours.

At the present, we are encapsulated in flesh, decaying bodies with a very limited and even blinded perspective of the bigger picture.

The ultimate goal, or destination, for all mankind is to find and return to the divine nature that is within us. There is One who came in flesh to show us the way back to our divine nature, and that is the Son of God, Yahshua Himself. He is in all things and all people, whether they know it or not. The point of the entire journey called earthly life is to find Him.

Really? So basically we have it here. You have a immense dislike for Christianity. Thus, it is no surprise as to your topic, and the misunderstanding that you have. The dislike you foster is blinding you. Now I'm not a Christian, but I can see why some would be proud to be a Christian. There is no reason they shouldn't be.

I think I have been led to say that some people tend to have a very narrow vision of religion of any sort.

You have no idea what you're talking about and it's made you look foolish.
:D You wish.

Edited to ask.
Exactly why are you proud to have chosen Christianity. Evidently you regard this as some kind of an extraordinary accomplishment, which makes me wonder why this would be, particularly in light of the millions of people who have also chosen it. In all, it seems to be a pretty common, even unremarkable thing to do.

Why should God be blamed? According to the bible, when He created everything, “it was very good” (Genesis 1:31). Man is the one who bungled everything up. Additionally, James 1:17 says, “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights.” So, the bad things in this world are not God's fault at all, because he only created the good.

So God created everything except the stuff he didn't? Even if I accepted that Humans created sin, God still created the Humans who created sin. Not only did God create the dominoes, he set them up to fall down and then knocked them down. So God is ultimately responsible for everything.
