Praise God but don't blame it!

"Apparently he made the wrong choice in picking a "cursed" guy to repopulate the Earth. After mucking that up he sent his "son" to clean up the mess."

" he made the wrong choice in picking a "cursed" guy to repopulate the Earth."

well, if he diddn't pick noah i wouldnt be here. there was nothing but cursed disobedient lawbreakers to choose from. it was judgement for man... that is it. noah beleived God, but was not perfect. Goddealt mercy to him through grace... he obeyed Godto his best ability, and reproduced... he taught his kids about god, and to obey him.. therefore an improvement was made, but we still disobeyed and such, and are falling more and more away in disobediance and nonbeleif... there will be judgement coming for us who broke the law, in god's love and mercy through grace he sent jesus for all to receive (even the previously dead sinners) and be free of the penalty of condemnation. grace = undeserved favor/ unmerited favor

"So only certain people are cursed? Others aren't?"

all humans are cursed.... others are dealt mercy through grace and love.

"How does god chose who gets the deformed baby?"

don't know, not in the bible and pure assumption (if i would try to answer what is undisclosed that is)..
So christian parents that ask god to have a child, but can't are not dealt mercy through grace and love, but a person like myself who is an unbeliever is able to have a healthy, smart and beautiful girl? Don't sound like grace and mercy to the couple who adore him.

So according to you normal people are dealt mercy but the deformed ones aren't?

God gives away free mercy and grace in love.... no excuse...
and :
Rom 9:14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
Rom 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

"So according to you normal people are dealt mercy but the deformed ones aren't?"

wrong.. deformed is an effect of sin; not meaning because they are deformed they are garunteed no mercy ...

If you go down to the bottom right of a members post, you can "quote" them and respond. This way it separates what you what to respond to and your own response.
Why didn't god just start over? Why pick a "cursed" individually fulling knowing that the whole recreation would be mucked up again? What doesn't make sense here is that according to the bible god flooded the Earth because it was evil, yet he knew it would be mucked up again and then send his "son" to repair it. Why not just send his "son" before flooding the Earth and save the evil humans and "non evil" animals instead of making them perish?

I don't know if i would even start the questions there. I think it concedes too much. The very notion that all human beings in the world were "evil!!!!!" except for one family is so saturday morning cartoon evil white hat/black hat loony toons it's an insult to any serious and complex discussion of morals and ethics. Beyond the Noah story's farcical supernatural premise.

So according to scripture god chooses whom he wants to have mercy and compassion for. So deformed babies he doesn't have mercy or compassion? Your answers aren't making any sense. If sin is the cause of deformed babies, then shouldn't all sinners have them? Oh wait, he has mercy on some, but not others. So the others are SOL.

So a serial murderer in prison who accepts jesus, has a much better chance at afterlife, than someone like myself who obeys law and donates time and money to charitable organizations, teaches fitness to kids for free and helps those that are less fortunate, but doesn't believe in god...........yep that makes total sense.

"god flooded the Earth because it was evil"

judgement of lawbreakers...

"he knew it would be mucked up again and then send his "son" to repair it."

he did not repair the world, he came so that the world might be saved through him.... even though we are guilty, and deserve death... by grace.... in love .... for ever man that ever lived
secondly, god has a redemptive plan...

"Why not just send his "son" before flooding the Earth and save the "non evil" animals instead of making them perish?"

first, we all perish due to sin... he sped up that process up in judgment... even the saved will suffer a physical death.... but the condemnation is everlasting destruction.... the saved will not partake in that.... those who died in the flood did have the option to receive mercy for free from god by grace :

1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1Pe 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Eph 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Eph 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Eph 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
Eph 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

"So a serial murderer in prison who accepts jesus, has a much better chance at afterlife, than someone like myself who obeys law and donates time and money to charitable organizations, teaches fitness to kids for free and helps those that are less fortunate, but doesn't believe in god...........yep that makes total sense."

yes, simply because i proclaim what will set you free and have told you it is free, and you willingly say no.

Rom 9:14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
Rom 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

Classic gobbly gook. Science knows why we have deformaties in children and it has more to do with genes, hormones, and medicine. Not because we disobeyed god.
Which also brings the point that where a couple who pray for a child naturally and can't have one, but then turn to SCIENCE, have IVF and produce a child....eh science isn't objective to the sins of people.

Rom 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
Actually and apparently god knew my answer about "set you free" before I was even born, so how can that be free will?

what i am saying is god did not form each of our physical bodies... they were procreated... if you smoke crack with a baby in the womb and it is deformed it is due to smoking crack, if the mother was healthy and a deformed baby came out, it is hard for her, but she still loves the child.. god still loves the child. it is a physical body... we are body and spirit. our deformities are temporal in god's eyes... he will give us another body anyways. deformities have no effect on god's mercy...

in God's love and mercy through grace he sent jesus for all to receive (even the previously dead sinners) and be free of the penalty of condemnation. through grace = undeserved favor/ unmerited favor

"sin is the cause of deformed babies"

the curse of death effected all body's to degrade/not be perfect, and die off.
sorry i dont make the laws...

"then shouldn't all sinners have them?"

some do some don't.... you want reason why.... cannot give you that reason, im not god

i explain it as bad luck or by chance if you would, because i do not know...

"Actually and apparently god knew my answer about "set you free" before I was even born, so how can that be free will?"

because he simply knew ... not forced you to do anything... you chose what you chose, he happens to know the future... you do not know but choose as you will, freely :)

" Science knows why we have deformaties in children and it has more to do with genes,"

my point exactly. our genes are cursed genes.... not the perfect ones god made.. but procreation of the cursed ones....

"Which also brings the point that where a couple who pray for a child naturally and can't have one, but then turn to SCIENCE, have IVF and produce a child....eh science isn't objective to the sins of people."

"eh science isn't objective to the sins of people."

does the baby get old and eventually die? it died because of the curse. might not have been deformed... but still died it is subjective to sin.

So god's mercy for these deformed people is to live through ridicule, hardship, depression, lack of confidence, etc. for their whole life. lol:rolleyes:

in God's love and mercy through grace he sent jesus for all to receive (even the previously dead sinners) and be free of the penalty of condemnation. through grace = undeserved favor/ unmerited favor
how do dead sinners receive jesus?

the curse of death effected all body's to degrade/not be perfect, and die off.
sorry i dont make the laws...
Sorry that don't make sense. A curse is defined as "as wish to harm" so if god cursed us, he wishes to harm us.

I already gave you the reason, and I'm not god.

i explain it as bad luck or by chance if you would, because i do not know...
Is it also by luck or chance that people are "gifted" by god? That he chooses who gets certain talents (speed, intellect, etc.) and the rest are SOL?

You mean the ones he wished harm on.;)

All living things die. Are you saying that plants and animals have sin too? You are entertaining.

"how do dead sinners receive jesus?"

jesus descended to preach the gospel to the dead souls, and :

Mat 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
Mat 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

"Sorry that don't make sense. A curse is defined as "as wish to harm" so if god cursed us, he wishes to harm us."

how about judgement and condemnation

"Is it also by luck or chance that people are "gifted" by god? That he chooses who gets certain talents (speed, intellect, etc.) and the rest are SOL?"

complaint of jealousy?

"How can I choose what I chose if I wasn't consciously BORN yet? That's not FREE WILL, that's PREDETERMINED FATE."

wrong - god knows what you will freely choose... im sorry if you do not choose grace.
