This is just.... Either he's worried he'll be tortured to death himself or, as the article writer offers, an imposter. But there can be no way he's... just wow.

Of course lies, Croak.

Hamza's father, Ali al-Khateeb, wanted to press charges against the army and security forces, said Hamza's cousin. Instead, Ali and his wife were visited by the secret police and threatened.
"They said: 'Enough of what has happened because of you already. You know what would happen if we heard you had spoken to the media,'" said Hamza's mother, clearly terrified as she spoke to the local activist, refusing to give further details on the circumstances of her son's arrest or death.
Hamza's father was briefly detained late Saturday afternoon, said his wife, after the secret police demanded he tell state media that Hamza was killed by armed Salafists, Sunni Muslim extremists, which the regime has claimed are driving the popular uprising.
"The father was asked to go to the security branch for half an hour so they could tell him their point of view about Hamza," said the cousin. "He was well treated."

...."How would any family feel if they saw that video of their own child?" asked Hamza's cousin. "I have never seen Hamza's father cry in his entire life. Now we see only tears in his eyes."
Tortured and killed: Hamza al-Khateeb, age 13 - Features - Al Jazeera English

The relative said that the night the family received the body, Hamza's father was arrested and taken away by security forces.
The security forces threatened him and told him not to speak to any media outlets, human rights organizations or anyone else.
"They told him we have killed one of your children and we can kill the rest of them too," he said.

...Syria TV also said al-Assad met with members of Hamza's family on Tuesday, and it showed men it identified as the boy's father and uncle who said that al-Assad was very welcoming and understanding, and promised reform.
The relative had fled Syria by the time state TV aired the video of the father and uncle thanking al-Assad.
But, he said, "I swear to you they said this because they were threatened. The father is defeated. They told him they would kill his children and destroy his family. They forced him to say this."
The man said he is very concerned about the issue of child victims and feels the regime was purposely targeting children to "teach us a lesson."
"There is not just one Hamza in Syria," the relative told CNN. "There are hundreds of Hamzas, and these men do not know God so they will make a hundred more Hamzas."http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/meast/06/02/syria.tortured.child/index.html?eref=edition

The place of those criminals is hell.

Hamza is a 13 years old boy from Syria , he lived with his parents in a village called “Al Jeezah” or “Al Giza” in Daraa governorate. His tragedy started when he marched along his family in a rally to break the siege of the city of Daraa. He was detained among hundreds of Syrian during the massacre of Siada , I remember this massacre from couple of weeks ago and how horrible it was. According to my knowledge the detainees were hundreds and they were detained in schools and even football playgrounds.

Now after weeks of absence Hamza returned to his family as a dead body. He returned as dead body of full of tortures marks with his genitals. Yes his body was full of torture marks and bullets !! They cut his genitals then they killed , yes according to his autopsy he was shot down after cutting his genitals.

Here is a video showing Hamza as a dead little tortured boy:

This is very terrible, even children?!!
How could anyone with a trace of humanity in them do such a thing?! There are literally no words I can use to describe the creatures who carried this out, they're not even animals, animals don't do this sort of thing, this is demonic.

It's hard to imagine such a thing while having lived in the west my whole life. It's quite apparent, however, that the Dajjal is at a very strong point right now and has many followers. Not just the US government now, but the middle-east at large. It's so sad that people choose the path of evil instead of seeking Allah's guidance. May Allah punish and humiliate these monsters on The Judgement day and grant Hamza and others like him the highest level in Jannah.

Hezbullah's unconditional support for the Syrian regime is unforgivable. We might say it's expected but this shouldn't be the stance of an organization that has been fighting against the Zionists and their transgression. I have always liked Hassan Nasrullah but after his stance of absolute support of the criminal Syrian regime, he lost his credibility. Maybe it's true that if the current regime fell down, the next regime wouldn't be a similar friend to Hezbullah, but at least Hezbullah would find a public support in the changing region (the people showed their power in the last few months).

Nasrullah must know that rulers and tyrant regimes don't last (even if they supported him and his groups against the Zionists) but the people last.
And the person wonders about the Syrian regime's embrace of resistance groups against the Zionists, if the regime and the army point their guns towards their people instead of fighting against the occupiers of Al-Golan. Politics and ideologies are put before principles and justice...how saddening!
...Videos of recent protests in Syria show demonstrators chanting slogans against Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the leader of Iran’s Islamic revolution, as well as the Hezbollah, an Islamist political party from Lebanon with a powerful armed wing. Even more surprising has been footage of protesters burning posters of Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s secretary-general and a widely respected figure throughout the Middle East.

Their anger is a result of Tehran's and Hezbollah’s
unwavering support for the Syrian government, even as it ruthlessly crushes its own people’s calls for more democracy. The last straw for Syrian protesters was a
speech
pronounced by Hassan Nasrallah on May 25, in which he assured Assad of his “everlasting friendship and support”.

...This is a new and striking phenomenon: up until now, Nasrallah was worshipped in the Arab world. He was seen as a hero of anti-Israeli resistance, especially after he freed South Lebanon from Israeli occupation in 2000.

Today, Nasrallah has chosen the Syrian regime over the Syrian people. His main argument is the Assad family’s firm anti-Israeli stance and support of Hezbollah as it was branded a terrorist organization by the West. What’s more, the regime accuses protesters of being traitors manipulated by Israel and foreign powers as a way of discrediting the protest movement. By pitching Bashar al-Assad as the defender of the Arab cause, Damascus ensured itself of Nasrallah’s support.

The Syrian regime is the most oppressive and criminal regime among the Arab regimes. Al-Asad family proved, as always, that they are merciless criminals.

......................
Witnesses: Tanks roll into city, begin shooting as people sleep - CNN.com
The Syrian government launched a major military operation Monday, sending thousands of troops into the town where the country's uprising began, to carry out what witnesses described as a brutal, wider-scale crackdown. Between 4,000 and 5,000 members of the Army and security forces raided the southern city of Daraa just after 4 a.m. equipped with seven tanks, and began shooting indiscriminately, in some cases shooting into homes as people slept, according to an activist with the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Seven people were confirmed killed in the city, the activist said.
Other witnesses described a trail of dead bodies in the streets.
"Ambulances could not help the injured because of the snipers and army officers who are deployed all over the city," one witness in Daraa said. "They shoot on anything that moves."
In the city of Douma, security forces took to the streets and arrested numerous people, a witness said, comparing the city to a prison.
.....................

Military operation against the armless people and families?
The Asad regime has no problem at all with destroying entire cities. We all remember how Al Asad, the father, destroyed the city of Hamah massacring around 30,000 people. Massacre of Hama

How the people can stand against an army?

Our governments shouldn't stand silent. God, please, help the poor people there!

Dear sister,

nobody approves the attack to innocent people, but the difference between the Syria and the other Arabian national revolutions is that, in oppose of other Arabic countries that revolutionists are majority of people like Bahrain and Libya, the protesters in Syria are minorities that are supported by Israel regime, because they find it hard to destroy the Islamic resistance in Syria, Palestine and Lebanon directly, so they are trying to do that by supporting fake protests in Syria, although Syria government could handle this crisis gradually without bleeding.

The real Dajjal slaves are Saudi Arabia and other Vahhabi governments who are trying to deny the Muslims unity through undercover support of occupying Israel. The Dajjal (Israel and USA government who are dominated by Free-masonic groups) have found it difficult to directly destroy the resistance quarter in middle east: Iran+Hezbollah(Lebanon)+Hamas(Palestine)+Syria. So they are trying to support the fake protests in Syria. Have you asked yourself why the western media propaganda just cover the Syria events while Saudi Arabia have moved his army to Bahrain and is killing innocent children and women!! While the Saudi terrorists are killing innocent people in Parachenar in Pakistan everyday!!

Nobody approve the behavior of Syria government, but hypocritical manner of western media can not be justified. The real Dajjal knows who is dangerous for his power so he has targeted the real assistants of Imam Mahdi.

I don't doubt it.. I am aware of the secret societies ruling US and Israel but these 2 control the whole world in some way so the rest are bound to follow Dajjal. I do not trust the media at all. Who are the real assistants of Imam Mahdi that you're speaking of?

Syrians decry 'torture' of teenage protester - Middle East - Al Jazeera English It seems Hamza's friend was also tortured to death.

It's a horrible sitation.
I think the criminal Assad's regime will fall soon. But all what it needs or Syrians is to keep their protests and in larger numbers.

------
A Syrian soldier joins other refugees near Turkish border where he tell Turkish TV he was told to shoot protesters:
A soldier flees Syria
-----

State television reported on June 6 that security personnel had been killed in an ambush, but refugees and rights groups said those killed were mutinous soldiers, shot for refusing to fire on civilians protesting against Assad's one-party rule.
Several testimonies from defected soldiers have emerged in the last week, suggesting a split within the security forces.
Troops on Sunday removed 10 uniformed bodies from a mass grave in front of the military police building. At least four of the bodies were beheaded or struck on the head with an axe, according to an Associated Press reporter who was invited to accompany the Syrian forces.

Earlier, a resident told the Reuters news agency that the army was using up to 150 tanks and armoured vehicles in the town, 20km from Turkey.
"Jisr al-Shughur is small and there is not even space to park all this armour. The shelling is non-stop now. Two helicopters are flying overhead and firing their machine guns," he said over the phone, speaking from a hill overlooking the town.
"Most people have escaped towards Turkey. I heard that a small group of army defectors may have remained because they felt that they had to defend the honour of Jisr al-Shughur, but they must be martyrs by now."
Syria army 'takes control' of Jisr al-Shughur - Middle East - Al Jazeera English
---------

Those soldiers who refuse to obey the orders and refuse to share in massacring the innocent civilians give me much hope.

Is that a kind of polite debate with respect to other side believes? If somebody approves your idea it's ok but if anybody try to state another side of the story it's trash?!!!

I hope the staff of the website will consider some rules for preventing such a hateful words like suspending the member and topic.

Fresh evidence of the extreme brutality being meted out to Syrian protesters and their families has been revealed today by Amnesty International.

The mutilated body of 18-year-old Zainab al-Hosni of Homs, the first woman known to have died in custody during Syria’s recent unrest, was discovered by her family in horrific circumstances on 13 September.
The family was visiting a morgue to identify the body of Zainab’s activist brother Mohammad,
who was also arrested and apparently tortured and killed in detention. Zainab had been decapitated, her arms cut off, and skin removed.

Wallahy, I can't understand how a man can do this. I don't know what to say...I thank God for the presence of the Hereafter.

May Allah help these oppressed people who are being continuously killed and tortured. They even torture kids in a systematic way. If it werent for the media today, Bashar of the ba'th party would have mass murdered just like his father massacred 50,000 in one week.

Look how soldiers deal with people and mock them.

May Allah protect the people from these criminals and criminals that support them like the Syrian-Iranian puppet, Hasan Nasrallah of Hizbullah and the Iranian regime, who claim to be "islamic" yet support this type of criminals who are clearly against Islam. All respect and prayers for the brave Syrian people who despite the killing, assasinations, and snipers, continue to go out and protest. Soon Bashar will fall, and his puppet Hasan NasrAllah of Hizbullah after him.
