preferred method of execution?

Imagine you have been sentenced to death by a court of law

But they have allowed you to chose the method of execution by which you will be put to death

What method do you choose and why?

Personally I'd want to be administered a massive over-dose of some kind of opiate

I once had very bad back pain so was prescribed morphine by a doctor, it came as a liquid in a bottle

It knocked me out but was really rather pleasant and that was at a low therapeutic dose

I should imagine if I was executed in such a way I would peacefully slip away and that there would be no pain

That's the way I'd like to go

I most certainly would not want to be hung or electrocuted

Idk about the morphine OD. It's a crapshoot if opiates will make you feel great or sick and freak out. I'd really hate to go out confused and nauseous! That said I worry this can be used as a suicide inspiration thread so I'll keep my answer to myself.

Apparently in Uzbekistan they shoot prisoners in their cells whilst they are asleep

I think this is remarkably humane

I would agree except for the cliff. When they caught me they'd feed me bacon until I died of a heart attack. (I had to clean up the ending)

I would ask for death by catapult. Just to make life difficult.

Probably guillotine. It's about as fast and reliable as you can get for execution methods (though that isn't saying much).

Also being a headless ghost carries a certain prestige. I would just need to find a ghost horse and a fiery pumpkin for a head. Then I could have my dream afterlife of patrolling old country roads and scaring the crap out of people.
