President's Remarks at Prayer Breakfast

Really wanna see some resemblance? View some recordings of Mussolini, especially when he was giving speeches. The smugness and utter arrogance with his words and general posture is striking, as well as his pandering to the religious right by claiming to be the protector of the faith.

Absolutely.. The similarities between Trump's speech and demeanor are stunning.

The Italian conservative embraced Mussolini's Fascism.

I think our members should probably look up the meaning of Fascism ,,,

The anti-Trumpeteers comments here are getting more and more outrageous in their content, their feeble attempts at damage control come across as nothing more than manifestos of mistruths.

"Sure. He's me and ma's hero"

.

and yet another one who thinks that anybody who supports Trump or is a conservative is the product of cousin inbreeding, stupid, deplorable, uneducated idiots without two brain cells to rub together. As well, he's probably wondering who ghost wrote this post because I'm quite certain that he doesn't think that any of us is literate enough to use three syllable words in a grammatically correct sentence.

.....and I'll also bet he wonders why the conservatives have such a low opinion of liberals.

Romney and Comey are respected..

By whom? Romney is lionized right now by the left....but the left's support is very incident centered. They may love him now, but in the past they have said things about him and his beliefs that are the precise opposite of what they are saying now, and in a week they'll go back to the old mantras. I hope that Romney isn't relying on any of THEM to have his back, unless they are holding knives.

The Republicans don't like him right now, either. They are doing the same thing; reversing any of the good stuff they used to say, and going to all the bad stuff. Romney is going to have to retire. He may serve out his term as Senator (as if he could get anything done as one now, anyway) but then he will simply disappear. Perhaps his church will give him a job as a general authority. I think he would be a good and honorable person to do that, myself.

And yes, he and I share the same religion. but then, Harry Reid is a Mormon, too, and I REALLY didn't like HIS politics. There are a lot of liberal Mormons out there. Really. I promise. I'm not one of them. ;)

But as to Mitt Romney? He's NEVER liked Trump and has never made that a secret. Most people in Utah didn't like Trump, either. If there was ever a matter of 'hold your nose and vote against Hillary," the state of Utah was that.

Wait. Most people in Utah, though conservative, really DON"T like Trump personally. They WILL vote for Trump in 2020 again, to keep the Dems out, not because they are in love with Trump. Voting against him, when he knew his vote would count for nothing in terms of acquittal, might have been smarter than I thought.

I'm going to have to think about that one for a bit, though I really do figure that Mitt was standing for his own principles there.

And it is possible, and some think likely, that if Trump were to lose the upcoming election that he would likely not step down as Michael Cohen warned Congress about.

and the sky is falling, said chicken little.

What makes you think he'd have a choice? I can see some autocratic Democrat trying to pull that (which is why y'all are so afraid of it, one of you might TRY...) but no Republican would. No Conservative would.

Remember; the only president who served more than two terms in succession was a DEMOCRAT, and he's the reason that Presidential term limits became a constitutional matter.

Sheesh.

All much the better. You don't want the socialist Democrats in charge. They're not fit for leadership, and are doing a wonderful and spectacular job of proving it for all the public to see.

I hope they keep it up.

Some people need to portray people they disagree with as negative stereotypes.
What does it mean....
Anger they cannot manage?
Bigotry?
Their own position is so weak that demonization is all they have?
Faith that they & only they have The Truth?

Sure, let's pretend that Trump and the GOP haven't shown anything other than disdain and disregard toward checks and balances.

Dishonesty makes baby Jesus cry. :(
