tolerant countries on earth.

That strongly depends on what part of America you are in. Indiana, for example, isn't that tolerant of differences and I had regular reminders I didn't belong there and sometimes was told to leave (sometimes politely as a suggestion to improve my life, sometimes from rude *** holes telling me to "get the **** out"). California, on the other hand, even the Conservative parts of this state are way more tolerant than what I knew back in Indiana.

I'm from America, and that's how I know how tolerant people are in the nation really depends on where you are (America isn't just big, it has several geographically-based sub cultures such as New England, West Coast, South West, Confederate South, Mid West). I just moved from Indiana to California. In Indiana it's not hard for me to draw stares of shock, disgust, and disapproval, just for being me. Here in California it's way harder for me to get singled out in such a way because I blend in more with the crowd.

quickly see how much racism is there.
Sure, you will get some people who can't connect with people
of other cultures or races. I myself find Indians irritating, but
I did date an Indian for three years!! And I am not at home with
African American culture, so I don't act like an African American.
And I find the idea of people sneaking into the country a Bad
Thing. But I am not racist - I have about five different races in me.
And America is generally not racist. That doesn't mean you have
to like every culture or religion.

Actually I'm Celto-Nordic white, making me (physically) more white than your average Anglo-Saxon white. The Celto-Nordic is my primary heritage, with a good deal of German, and almost enough Cherokee for a scholarship. But I am a very pale/fair skinned strawberry blonde lass who is often told I need some sun but the sun and I don't get along all that well.

I already told you what country I'm from, and as I've been trying to explain some parts of America are more accepting of people with differences than others. America is one country, true, but many of our states are bigger than many countries throughout the world. And with the size of America, and it's history, there are numerous sub cultures that are often geographically bound. The accents are different, word choices are different, politics are different, laws are different, and social attitudes are different. I've been to most of the continental US, and very much so Indiana is not the same is Florida and neither are the same as Texas and neither is like California. Indiana has tons of smokers. Texas is real cowboys and wanna be cowboys. Florida is pretty trashy and dirty outside of the main tourist places and bigger cities (and even then you might still stroll on a heavily littered beach). California is a huge tossed salad of an amalgamation of all sorts of people. If you're weird in any other state, you aren't weird here.
And of course you can't forget the Native Americans, Indian immigrants, Middle Eastern immigrants, Irish immigrants (think Boston), German immigrants (they helped shape Northern Indiana), and Asian Immigrants.
The reason we Americans don't have to leave the country to travel is because we live in such a vastly diverse land of geography, climate, people, and cultures. As soon as you get to Tennessee, you are in the South and it's very apparent. You get to Nevada and the bright lights and "mini-Las Vegases" will let you know where you are.
From my travels, the MidWest/Bible Belt and Confederate South (it really has to be separate from the South West which is very different) are not too fond of those who are different. And this means many differences. Things from sexuality, dress, and religious views. If they are different from the norm, people will make you feel unwelcome. Not everyone, of course, but I've experienced it enough to know a good number of states and cities I'd rather just avoid all together. However, it is the big cities that are generally more tolerant regardless of what state they are in.

Your country is on its way to being, what, the world's first totally
multi-ethnic nation?
Don't let anyone trash your country for being intolerant. The stats
and facts speak for themselves, not "black lives matter" and such.
My family are considered strange for leaving America - not many
people do that (unless they are fed up with Trump or dodging the
draft.) Don't judge a country by individuals - the spirit of America
has been welcoming of immigrants. And some of those came to
the states as real underdogs - ie the Jews and Asians and have
greatly prospered.

Indiana tried to pass an English only bill, tried to keep Syrian refugees out, tried to keep same-sex marriage out after the Obergefell v Hodges ruling, tried to make discrimination against the LBGT-community legal, and being outside of the norm is strongly frowned upon. Compare this to California where immigrants have sanctuary city protections, LBGT rights are protected, and people don't seem to really care if you're pierced up and have blue in your hair.

A mad state where any kid can print an assault rifle in his bedroom,
where any person can smuggle a plastic gun onto a plane, where
standard procedures to protect people in courts, schools, hospitals
etc is bypassed by firearms that can't be detected with metal detectors.
