I don't want to take your money like that because the opinions about this subject are widely diverse. I know atheists who are deadset against abortion they tend to be misogynists but they are deadset against it
I actually did not know that. Thanks.Corporate personhood goes back centuries.
But liberals & their media have fostered the misunderstanding
that corporate personhood is something new & evil. Note also
that liberals take advantage of this too. Did you know that the
DNC is a corporation? Their objections are based upon the
donations not favoring their side.....& the need to continually
demonize for-profit corporations.
I thought they said "Stop in the name of love"If i remember, they said it was indeed free-speech.
Yes, arbitrary.Like the point at which it is not a fetus but actually
a little human being with the right to live?
Hate to break it to you but not all atheists are liberal left-wing Hollywood feminist Satanists who eat babies, some are very patriarchal and conservative.Whoa! Guess I need to hang around more atheists, then. Or maybe not ... You should have taken the bet. Time to see my proctologist.
Rape certainly harms a person. Harming a person is against the dhamma. I feel quite strongly about this. The dhamma do not speak of rape directly as far i know, so that part i can not say to much about. But the precepts do say. One should not kill.
As i stated in a earlier answer. Og mother can die raring pregnancy i do understand their choice of abortion
Yes, arbitrary.
It is an emotional topic for just about everyone. It is emotional for me because I believe in a woman's body autonomy and I have witness first hand when a woman's autonomy was taken away from her.And now I am bowing out, this is an
emotional topic for me.
Not when the subject is "who qualifies as a person, and who's life is dispensable".Irrelevant to the discussion.
Slave owners also force bred black slave women (often soon after puberty) like chattel until they lost their ability to give birth anymore. Why would I take you as the arbitrator of which human being qualifies as having personhood and which human being does not?
You rather remind me of the 19th century US slavers who didn't think that black human beings qualified for personhood. Or natives.
"Personhood" is such a subjective term that people often use it to justify killing human beings that they don't find convenient for their ideology.

More irrelevance. Not when the subject is "who qualifies as a person, and who's life is dispensable".
Tom
The depth and breadth of your insightful analysis is an inspiration to us all.More irrelevance.
Says the person who is using emotionalism as an argumentThe depth and breadth of your insightful analysis is an inspiration to us all.

Our friend isn't even making an argument.Says the person who is using emotionalism as an argument

Or it could just be that we think abortion is bad.I'm pretty well convinced that what the whole "pro-life" movement is really all about is resenting other p9eople, especially women, for having sex 'without permission', and then not wanting to pay (suffer) the 'just consequence' of their defiance. I think it's really about making those hussies pay for their sex-sin.
The politicians are getting closer to the Death Penalty for abortion providers and some states have jail time on the books for the woman getting the abortion.

You mean, womens right to choose to kill an unborn child.
Frankly, I can´t find anywhere in the Constitution where this general kill order is found.
Perhaps you can tell me where in the noble document it is located.
