Proof that God is not omnipotent

McBell

Unbound
God is beyond human logic. And yes the immovable rock argument is essentially the same as the unbreakable sword argument that you've presented, both seek to apply human standards of logic to something that is beyond our understanding.
So you are saying that because god is not bound by logic that he can in fact make an unbreakable sword then break it?
That he can lift the rock he created to be to heavy for him lift?

When you make the claim that god is not bound by logic, whether it is true or not, then you just made any illogical question concerning god a valid question.

Omnipotence is a fairly vague term because in practice it's never a useful term. We have no examples to work with.

Sometimes it's defined as having infinite power, while other times it seems to be defined as the ability to do anything, which is so vague. I see no reason to assume that a creator god or a panentheistic god must be able to break logic. To me, when an attempt is made to disprove omnipotence, all one is really disproving is a vague term constructed by people.
