Cooky, I think that you must take into consideration that what Trump's supporters did -- at least at the Capitol -- was clearly illegal. And if that is the case, they need to face the consequences.

It doesn't actually matter if they honestly believed that there was fraud in the election. We are, none of us, permitted to take the law into our own hands, and if we do, we will be found guilty and punished. Anything else simply leads to increasing anarchy.
