Oh you do not. Egypt is fantasy?
Dont be ridiculous, you are as bad as the
ones who say the whole thing is perfect.

Let's try the following paragraph on for size:
Kansas. Munchkins can sing. Lions are cowards. Tin men need to be oiled occasionally. There are good witches.

Just because there is one valid reference does not mean the entirety should not be judged fantasy.

Are the Biblical stories about Egypt true?

I was just going by what you said:
If you meant only for 1000 years, you should have said only for 1000 years.
I know what eternity means. I'm asking if you can really comprehend what it means. The only way one could survive eternity is if God wipes your memory clean every trillion or so years so you can start over. But that's not really eternal life, is it?

As far as I know the 'millennium-long day' I mentioned is a thousand years long.
I am wondering how you would know more than God knows as to what He will do.
I see No reason to erase memory every trillion or so years, so how do you know that is what is necessary.

Genuine Christians live by the Golden Rule so they do Not contribute to adversely to the Climate.

Wow! I did not know this. So if someone drives an internal combustion powered car, uses electric power from a coal fired electric grid, eats traditionally raised beef, along with a host of other acts they are not "Genuine Christians". Finally we have a standard to use to see if someone is Genuine Christian (patent pending) or not.

The reason to erase your memory every trillion or so years is to keep you sane. As I've said, after a few trillion trillion years you would not want to have another discussion with Aunt Mary.

However, I have given this whole eternity thing some more consideration. Here's what I think God does to keep the eternals from going crazy, at least for a little while.

He gives each eternal a universe to create and control as he/she sees fit. Probably the first few millions of universes created by any one eternal would not be very good - it would take some practice. As evidence thereof, I submit that we, our universe, is probably universe number 1,287,479 created by someone like URAVIP2ME. It's not a very good universe. In many ways it's a $hitty universe. But it's only the 1,287,479th universe he's made, so, well, it is what it is.

Of course, after creating a few trillion upon trillion universes, boredom would once again raise its ugly head. At some point even the most diehard of us would no longer want just one more turn.

The Wizard of Oz, like the book of mormon, is of course
a fantasy, for all that the occasional real thing gets in.

Like, say, tornadoes, and gold.

Both are entirely made up, by single individuals.

The bible, on the other hand, is the work of probably
dozens of author-contributors, from a span of hundreds of years, or more.

Genealogy, folk wisdom, folk-remedies, history,
poetry, advice both good and bad, Lots of stuff like
that, such as any people would have.

Into the mix goes elements of historical novel,
and, magic realism.

To say the entirety is fantasy is an unreasonable position.

Christians do Not deliberately contribute to Climate Change.
My dairy and grass-fed beef are only purchased at nearby farms.
Sure , I know modern technology pollutes but that does Not mean to abuse it.
Working people often drive out of necessity.
Throwing trash out of the vehicle is Not necessary.
Keeping a vehicle in good running order keeps pollution down and shows love of neighbor.
A Christian would Not operate a business ignoring pollution standards.
There is only so much an individual can do, and to do what one can do is showing love of neighbor.
If everyone on Earth just lived by the Golden Rule then what would the world be like.

You are now changing your story. Now a Genuine Christian (patent pending) tries to limit his contribution to climate change. That is a pity since it is much harder to judge.

And the difference between "deliberate" and, "negligent"?

Christians do Not deliberately contribute to Climate Change.
I live in the inland northwest of the US, and climate change denial is a core position among much of the Christian community out here. Over just the last two weeks I've heard three different local Christian pastors on the radio talking about how climate change is a hoax, constitutes "worshiping the creation rather than the creator", and a conspiracy by liberal environmentalists to turn the US into a socialist country.

I think I would like the USA a lot better if you guys
would scrape all the conservatives off.

I would say the core position among 'professed' Christians. So-called fake ' weed/tares ' Christians.
Jesus said MANY would come ' in his name ' proving false, so Christendom (apostate Christianity) is false.
Before the US turns into a socialist country there will be a coming ' time of separation ' on Earth as found at Matthew 25:31-33,37,40. Jesus will involve himself into mankind's affairs, and those considered as the figurative humble ' sheep'-like ones can remain alive on Earth, and continue to live on Earth right into the start of the coming calendar Day One of Jesus' 1,000-year governmental rule over Earth begins, when Jesus, as Prince of Peace, will usher in global Peace on Earth among persons of goodwill.

Well, I hope not. Finland is a far more civilized
country than the USA, this country could sure
use some of that wretched "socialism" that they
have developed.

People quite often heavily invest emotionally into words. "Socialism" is one of those words. Yet, if worded without that term many people accept various "socialist" government programs. But if the term is included they would reject it. Schools, the military, and road construction are all examples of "socialist" programs in the U.S. but they are hardly ever called that. If one calls essential programs "socialist" Americans will reject them. If the U.S. went "socialist" with their medicine I predict that in ten years, heck in four years, very few would want to go back.

Ah, so the litmus test for a True Christian (TM) is their view on climate change. And here I thought it had more to do with Jesus Christ.

Does the number of authors really matter. There are some really good books about history, hygiene or philosophy written by just one person. More authors does not mean more quality or truthfulness.

The Wizard of Oz is the work of one author, from a span of a couple of years, or less.

Genealogy, folk wisdom, folk-remedies, history,
poetry, advice both good and bad, Lots of stuff like
that, such as any people would have.

  • Genealogy: The relationship Dorothy and Auntie Em
  • Folk wisdom: There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. The true courage is in facing danger when you are afraid, and that kind of courage you have in plenty.
  • Folk-remedies: Oil is good for metal contraptions
  • History: The life and travels of Oscar Diggs
  • Poetry: “How can you talk if you haven’t got a brain?” “I don’t know… But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking… don’t they?”
  • Advice both good and bad: Experience is the only thing that brings knowledge. Unlike with the bible, I can't find any bad advice.

Into the mix goes elements of historical novel,
and, magic realism.

To say the entirety is fantasy is a reasonable position.
