It's pretty clear Putin underestimated Ukraine and it's capability of resisting the invasion,he also underestimated
the worlds response as thousands of foreign volunteers head for Ukraine from all over.

The Ukraine has waved visas after American volunteers complained of red tape,there are volunteers from far away as Japan but closer to Ukraine they're coming from all over Europe,this looks like it's heading for a long protracted bloodbath even if Kyiv falls.

I think the problem is, that they "underestimated" Russia and how easy it is for them to wipe Ukraine off the map. Sure, more will go in, but Russia is holding the cards on this one in my opinion.

I think it's great they have volunteered and the morale boost it will give,i agree to that unless Putin can come away with something he will not stop,as you say he has a big ego.

Having to close the Moscow stock market in an attempt to stop the devaluation of Russian companies is a desperate move that hasn't actually helped the decline. The top 25 companies have lost over 80 billion dollars (that's dollars, not rubles) in the past 8 weeks and more than 40 billion since the start of the invasion. Russian oligarchs cannot stand such losses much longer

No doubt about it,he built up massive reserves and he uses China for banking and had already moved away from mostly using swift bank but the sanction are already biting,these sanctions are far reaching and eventually will break him down,hopefully from within.

I'm all for Russia to go back to Russia and leavin Ukraine alone. None of this should have happened, but what I don't understand is why egg them on!!! They are trying to destabilize Russia's economy and war capabilities and get what they want from the war...it sucks but Russia is a massive country and they should never underestimate a sustainable country like that-especially with nuclear capabilities and they are not afraid of using them.
