If Jesus were to return, would you believe it was genuine or a hoax? Would you accept that this person really was Jesus, or would you think him an imposter? Just curious.

A returning Jesus would be able to prove it, but would not need to do so.
many people in the past have claimed to be Jesus and have not been believed.
I am sure the truth of Jesus return would be self evident to believers and sceptics alike.

Jesus will return ' as ' a lion no longer the lamb of God.
ALL people will know about Him as they are being corrected. :yes:

This is relevant to the 'Second Coming' which is taught about scripturally.
You could be right at this present moment in time.
Man is not ready yet to receive him. So sadly more tribulation has first to humble us. Mat.24 v21.

Assuming for the sake of argument that this is true, how will you know him apart from all the other people who have claimed/claimes to be Jesus?
Simple , the returning Christ will have powers no Human has. :no:
Everyone will know him for who he is !

Here is a science fiction scenario for you: suppose in a few decades, the internet becomes self aware and claims that it is Jesus returned...do you believe it?

Now, I did not ask if you thought Jesus was the top of the pops, which I assumed was obvious, but rather if there, in your view, might exist other beings who ALSO possesses superhuman powers, or is Jesus the ONLY one?
Now, would you mind answering the actual question?
Whatever other powers exist they will not match Christ. No need to go into detail since they become irrelevant.

He didn't say anything about matching the abilities of Christ. I think he was implying that if a person with extra-ordinary abilities were to come along before Christ, how would you know it was Christ and not an imposter?(Satan for example)
It is true that people have been taken in by imposters or scripture could not say that the whole world is deceived Rev.12v9. But there have always been some who are not deceived Prophets and Apostles for inst.

If the only recognizable characteristic of Jesus is that he has superhuman powers, and there might exist other beings that, while not of equal power to Jesus, nevertheless also possess superhuman powers, how would you know that the one appearing is actually Jesus?
God/Christ have powers no one else has.
We are just going round the houses with this one. YOU may have trouble recognizing the true Christ but I will know him like my own Parent.

Can there be other beings with superhuman powers?
And if so, HOW would you know the difference if one of them posed as Jesus?
