Question for females about sexism

NewChapter

It is not about the penis or the vagina.

And you know it.

It's about the differing way in which males and females think and behave. We are wired differently, so to speak.

But making it a rule that just because men and women genetically are different, men should automatically be the providers screams sexism to me.

Feminism is about everyone having the choice to live the kind of life and perform the gender roles that they want to. Sexism is when you don't let them do that, or insult them for doing it.

Almost liked this statement. The term "gender roles" itself sounds kind of sexist.

I see sister (sister believer in the God of Abraham.)

Just out of curiosity my sister, I think I knew an African poster by the name of Thanda...are you an African woman? :):)

Peace and may God Bless you,

Yeah, Rev told me earlier...so are you an African man if that's OK to ask? :)
If you click on a member's name under their avatar in any post you will get a pop up box that can give you some information (that they have agreed to divulge on their profile) that often includes what gender a person claims and where they are from, amongst other things.

If you say so. I tend to not care too much about differentiating between the various types of sexual debauchery. ;)
Oh, I differentiate. My ex sister-in-law...whore, me...just your run of the mill ****. :p Sluts are up for fun while you are just a means to a material end for a whore. ;)

It's just a descriptor of something that exists in our cultures. It would be great if there weren't any roles associated with whatever gender a person happens to be. That is what many are trying to work towards. Others want there to be roles according to gender. In most cases, women are assigned inferior roles. The problem is twofold: the assigning of roles according to gender, and the nature of those roles. Using the term gender roles is not sexist. Wanting to have assigned gender roles is.
