What about him?
Would you not have wished rape on him instead of just the Death Penalty?

What about him?
None of his tax dollars should go to help people who screwed up; rather, they should go to helping an already disabled reform system get back on its feet.
Security in prisons is not reform.
Raping is not reform.
but some would argue that prison is not nor should it be a "reform" system.
Incidentally I agree that rape is not reform, however I believe my friend was suggesting it as a additional punishment.
Both views espouse retributivist perspectives.
Then let's hope your friend never gets arrested for failing to send off is tax in-time, or smoking Marajuana etc. I wonder if he thinks being raped in prison will help him be a better citizen upon leaving?
SHE was speaking only about rapists, and child rapists. She also suggested castration via butter knife sans anesthesia, but I figured prison rape was the funner of the two.
Cheers.

To what end? Wasn't death enough? They could have done that to Ted Bundy before they executed him but that was a long time ago so I guess its irrelevant...

No. I don't think torture is justifiable.
To what end? Wasn't death enough?
Revenge like that will come at the cost of righteousness of our system. Not that I believe our system righteous, but why would we consciously deprive our penal system of what legitimacy it has left?Well they could of at least raped him once before they executed him. Please remember this guy raped and tortured women. Then killed them and then done things with there bodies afterwards. A evil guy.

I think it was over the top. Life, no parole, in punitive isolation, would have been sufficient. So you believe the electric chair was justice enough?

while speaking with friends we began talking about prison reform. Several comments were made by my friends.
The first was questioning why more of his tax dollars should go to help people who have screwed up. He was not saying he should pay less taxes but felt that enough is already spent on prisons and were any extra security measures put in place the funding would need to come from the existing funds.
Another friend believed that child rapists especially should be subject to a regular raping by fellow inmates.
Your thoughts?
Was I, in any way, unclear? For Ted Bundy?
So you believe the electric chair was justice enough?
