I don't know if this helps or not, but the biggest PR problem that Libertarians have is that everyone doubts that you actually vote for Libertarian candidates. You libs may need to be more public about your voting records and somehow overcome that stigma. I know it isn't fair, but people tend not to believe that. When someone admits to voting Democrat or Republican I believe them. When they claim they support a smaller party such as yours or such as the Green Party I tend to doubt it.
When ever a non-libertarian finds out I'm one,
it seems they immediately launch into a lecture
about what's wrong with us & what we believe.

(It's a good opportunity to expand their horizon.)

I knew a few Germans. Their language is precise contrasted with other languages. It is less vague what one means when one is speaking. In theory it is a good idea to use such a language, because it avoids the confusion that could arise from a sentence such as this one.

You all look okay to us Australians. You're doing the best you can, and it's not your fault you weren't born here. So good job, all.

To Vote Libertarian I would have weakened the opposition vote to remove the worst President in American history.....As to Politicians taking money out of the average voters pockets, don't forget large corporations raising prices when it surely hurts the public and weakens the American Economy is evident. All along the chain of merchandise moving toward the consumer multiple fingers are put on the scale so as to grab profits over and above what is fair.... This is criminal but only occasionally some token individuals will be prosecuted. Because there is a Democrat President this practice of increasing inflation of course advances the appeal of Republican candidates...No one has to meet in some clandestine location to plan these crimes....It's just Capitalism; some idiots think Capitalism is synonymous with Democracy..

Which is why I must admit it isn't fair, however if you truly intend a third party then you have to vote for one and be public about it. Other people have to feel like their vote will count if they vote for your party. If they don't feel like that then they feel alone, uncounted, like they are throwing their vote away. They will follow your lead.

You are correct, however there are ways to attack this from the side, so it is not yet doom. Revoltingest keeps bringing one up that most people agree on: fewer licenses. Imagine if I wanted to start manufacturing chairs and selling them. Can I do so without being stopped by the government? I don't know. 50 years ago I wouldn't even bother asking. Today I need a lawyer to sell chairs. Now if you fix this one issue you have severely changed the situation upon the ground. New entrepreneurs will spring up like weeds and disrupt every market. So this one seemingly small issue can help with many others, because healing is holistic. If you help small businesses and entrepreneurs you help a myriad of other issues. There are other possible side attacks for the issues you mention. Someone has to do an end run around the gatekeepers and get things done that they aren't paying attention to, such as decreasing the number of licenses required to work.

For inspiration watch the film Amazing Grace about how slavery was made illegal in Britain. A small determined group of conscience stricken people pulled some political side attacks to get slavery cancelled, and they won. Side attacks are effective in policy making if you know what depends upon what and can identify the wheels within the wheels.
