Again I’m saying that these religions which once were a panacea are spiritually dead and are unable to bring peace to our age. Religions cannot get along with one another. They failed to stop the world wars and it was a Christian nation to drop the atom bomb. Or wasn’t it Christian at that time? If the followers of each religion practised their religion, we would already have peace.Religion has and still does create cooperative communities. It is associated with better health, happiness, and longevity, as well as a buffer against anxiety and depression. Not everyone in any religion becomes a better person, but among those who actually seek to become a better person, they find all the tools they need within religion.
Look at all the nationalities in the Catholic Church. You don't think their religion brings them together? There are Jews all over the world, speaking many different languages and having all sorts of cultural differences. You don't think we are brought together by our shared religion? Islam is all over the globe. You don't think they are brought together by their religion? I would propose that there is nothing as good as religion to create bridges between countries and cultures.
Inevitably? Hardly. The overwhelming majority of wars in history have been over land and resources and getting slaves. Wars over ideology are extremely rare.
Well, nothing wrong with creating peace.
This is why, once the current religion’s lights go out, and they have, except in name only, God sends another Prophet to renew religion. So each religion has its time and then it becomes like a tree that no longer bears fruit and is fit only for firewood. So we see today billions of religionists unable to curtail war because they have no answer for the problems of this age. Time for a renewal.
