Religious announcements

Alea iacta est

Pretend that I wrote something cool.
When I was around ten years old I wanted to become a monk (I'm from a Lutheran country). It felt appealing about the way of life of a (Christian) monk. I didn't even grow up in a religious family. Now I don't even consider myself a Christian and I don't want to become a monk of any religion.

I'm nor worried about "the beginning" after "the end". It's the crossover from "the end that I'm not crazy about" to "the beginning that comes after it" that bothers me. I've never enjoyed roller-coasters; I was always so skinny that I was afraid I'd fall out before the ride was over.
I think none of us like the ' crossover ' idea, but that is why we need to fortify our spiritually now.
Revelation says there will be a ' great tribulation ' coming before the best things come.
Kind of like the old adage about it's darkest before the dawn.
The biblical dawning is the peace-filled thousand year reign of Christ over Earth.
What we can be 'crazy' about, so to speak, is found at Isaiah 26:20,4.
Remember at the 10th Egyptian plague the believers stayed inside interior rooms protected from the outside happenings.
So, then we can be just as Isaiah penned to hide oneself until the denunciation passes over.
Thus, we don't want to be fooled when the 'powers that now be' will be saying, " Peace and Safety...."
Jesus, with angelic armies, will be doing the fighting for us. Our weapons are spiritual - 2 Corinthians 10:4

When we are here, death is not, but when death is here we are not. Is your non-existence before your birth an enemy?
I suppose, since non-existence is the absence of life, then it that sense an enemy.
But, Not an enemy as in the 'wicked will be destroyed forever' as found at Psalms 92:7
Before birth there is the prospect of coming life, with destruction there is No more hope of life ever again.

OK people...
In case of emergency... if the entire global economy and infrastructure collapses... no electricity and we're reduced to rubbing sticks together for fire...
at least you can rest assured that our holy scriptures are being preserved.

However, the economy and infrastructure will Not collapse on its own.
The coming saying of " Peace and Security ..." is what is the precursor to the coming great tribulation of Rev. 7:14,9

I'm nearing the end of Rabbi J. B. Soloveitchik's Lonely Man of Faith. The struggles he describes there speak volumes to me.

Correction: I am not anything... I have updated my RF profile to reflect this fact.

There is no label, no religion that fits.

Any attempts at labeling myself has been a disaster.

So... all that stuff about being myself, came comging out of hiding.

Yeah... I changed my mind. It's a bitter pill, and now I have taken it. Thank you RF for teaching me this: There is no rational logical coherent argument for to be anything other than what people tell me to be if I want to be happy.

Happy does not come from self-expression or self-honesty. Happiness comes from following the herd and being defined by others.

Done.

I take it all back.

And now I'm go back in hiding.

Must be hard.

If you ever want to talk about it, or metaphorically eat rocky road ice cream with me because the world is unfair, I'm here.

I think the most productive conversation that you and I could have is a private one, off the forum. Unfortunately I have no way of private messaging you so, if you would welcome such a dialogue, you'll have to p.m. me or send me an e-mail.
