Resurrection of deads

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There is no part of man that will not disintegrate, apart from a single bone at the base of the coccyx, from which he will be recreated on the Day of Resurrection.”
I know, your prophet (ṣallā -llāhu ʿalayhī wa-ʾālihī wa-sallam) was the greatest scientist ever to live.

In where recreate them? That is the question. If they had a grave, they say, they just come out of grave. If eaten by animals, there is no grave. So, where they become resurrected?
That is not much of a question - 3d printing machines.

Thankfully, my religion does not teach me any such silly thing. My religion tells me that there is no birth and no death. Basically, nothing can die. When I come to that point (the so-called death), my body is cremated (not eaten by a lion or a shark, I am a city-dweller), and the products (Water vapor and Carbon-di-oxide) disperse in the atmosphere. What remains is Calcium oxide from the bones. This my people will immerse in a river. So all the atoms will begin on a new journey in millions of forms.
No God, no soul, no heaven, no hell, no judgment. Is that not true? Do you believe otherwise? Would you be able to show some evidence for what you believe?
So, no reincarnation either?

If your religion teaches resurrection of the dead on the Judgement Day, and you believe all dead people will be resurrected, here is a case:

Suppose somebody was eaten by a shark in the sea. The man's body absorbed by shark, and later once the shark dies, its body eaten by other fishes, and some of those fishes were eaten by some fishers.
On the Judegme Day, this man has no specific grave. So, where does he come out? Where does he get resurrected?

That's a good imagination.

That dude sounds like Clementine, lost and gone forever, dreadful sorry.

I thought of a better one.

In real time, real life.

There once was a husband and wife team that took pictures of volcanoes.

Like for national geographic and stuff.

They got out onto some dangerous ground that failed.

They went into the lava.

When people fall into the lava, I would imagine that their molecules become aerosolized.

On a physical level, they go back to the periodical table of elements.

Carbon based?

They are stardust, they are golden, they are billion year old carbon?

Like when the heaven and the Earth pass away with a loud noise, and the elements burn with fervent heat.

Even if we could split an atom of oxygen, or helium, would we have that same tremendous heat explosion and mushroom cloud?

In the case of your shark man, after the thousand years are finished, the sea will give up it's dead.

But those folks are Clementine, when every eye will be open.

Every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him.

Dead men walking across the broad plane of the Earth.

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne. And there were open books, and one of them was the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their deeds, as recorded in the books.

The
sea gave up its dead, and Death and Hades gave up their dead, and each one was judged according to his deeds.

But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.

And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown.

Who wants to wear gypsy leather?

And head out to fire lake.

Who wants to take that long-shot gamble?
and head out for Fire Lake...

Head out...
Who wants to go to Fire Lake...
Head out...
Who wants to go to Fire Lake...
Hey... Head out...
Who wants to go to Fire lake
Head out... Head out...
Who wants to go to Fire Lake
Out to Fire Lake
Alright! Who wants to do it?
Who wants to go to Fire Lake

Who wants to do it?
Who wants to go to Fire Lake
Who wants to do it now?

Oh such conundrums when one reads scriptures literally! All this is resolved when we read them metaphorically instead.

Why does the Abrahamic God not do that on a day-to-day basis? We are now 7.5 billion. Add all those who preceded us. Allah knows when there will be this judgement. By then there will probably be many more billions. So, perhaps a total of 25 billion souls. All those waiting in their graves for the Day to come. Old tottering humans, wailing children and all, the good and the evil. What kind of that Book of life be with 25 billion pages. And how much time God will take to dispose all those 25 billion cases.
With us Hindus, it is done immediately on arrival at the office of Lord Yama, the God of Death. No delays, no hurry, no mistakes. That is a better arrangement, no?

Your figure is low. According to estimates, there have been 108 billion humans who have ever lived. That's 15 dead people to every 1 living person.

Now, try to image the unbearable reality of 108 billion people all standing in line, freshly pulled out of their graves. The stench would have to be beyond unbearable, not to mention the waiting! I mean, how long does it take to go through everything rotten everyone of us has ever done to hear it all recounted one by one. By the end of the first year, we've probably only processed, what, a few hundred people? By the time the first million are processed, the rest would have turned into petrified wood.

Old tottering humans, wailing children and all, the good and the evil. What kind of that Book of life be with 25 billion pages. And how much time God will take to dispose all those 25 billion cases.

I would say it's a more efficient system, to be sure.

There is no such thing as physical matter, never has, and never will be, and it's impossible. The clear proof to the degree there can't be denial by any soul with no room for it, is the day of judgment.

The proofs so far come in summary textual (divine words), spiritual link (Prophet and Imams) and then physical miracles in this world (splitting moon in half for example). The thing on the day of judgment, God although will not talk directly to any unclean soul, his witnesses will speak on his behalf to humanity, and will perform miracles to much higher degree, and not only that, but because humans forgot everything in beginning, and slowly come to remember by God's permission as his records for each from the book of record with the witness of each period with their people who is their Leader, will unfold.

In the period between death and the day of judgment, although, people taste the spiritual type proofs, they are disbelieved in because they lack the spiritual organs to see fully properly. The hell surrounds disbelievers in this world but ask an Atheist if he senses it and knows of it, and he will say he has no idea what you are talking about.

The spiritual transition life till day of judgment although everyone will know souls exist for example, people will be of different beliefs and the proof is not as clear, despite hell being more apparent there, it's not as apparent on the day of judgment.

Our organs are spiritual in nature as well, like I said, there is no physical existence, it's not only that God chose to make the world to be from his words and ideas, it's that physical type existence is impossible.

On the day of judgment, we will be reunited with them, but that day, if we were evil, they will testify against us, and if good, will vouch for us.

In fact, even places where you did good deeds, will speak in your favor. This is a case, that aside from the witnesses who are proofs and it will be said "where is the enchanter" meaning it will become apparent the power too much in God's chosen for them to be not directly sustained by God.

Remember Iblis although witnessed Ahlulbayt (a) lights in the illiyin for 6 thousand of years, fell, and despite witnessing physical miracles from Prophets (a), never believed, but on the day of judgment, he will know the truth again, but Quran shows belief is too late on that day.

The day when there is no room for denial at all, no matter how evil we are, is the day of judgment. But there is a trial right before that evident nature, and it's said, there would be no trial where it not that polytheists lie to themselves and God and say "I swear we weren't polytheists".

There will be a mini trial, call it last chance university, right before the day is proven beyond doubt to be in God's hand, and that is in the sleepy waking up stage, like still sleepy and not fully awakened, God will ask humans what they did, and if they are honest then, there will be no trial, but he will forgive them, but chances are if you were a disbeliever and stubborn and lied to yourself, you will be dishonest then to and dishonest till proven with no room for denial.

The organs will be reunited with us, and again, physical world doesn't exist. Everything is made out of spiritual stuff, ideas of God spoken to be.

The life between this and the day of judgment and last world, we will not have these organs, not a brain, nothing, and that world is spiritual yes, but the sight power depends on how much we had going.

On the day of judgment, also, while truth will be evident, from another perspective, overwhelmed with organs and physical miracles and words from God and everything testifying, the disbelievers will have not the spiritual vision and faith to see God's beauty and glory, and so it's said, from another perspective they will be blind.

Ultimately, even their prayers afterwards in hell, is said to be in error. This shows, if any disbeliever can talk to God in love and actually Worship him and seek his help, they would be pulled from hell, but God says they are so far gone that when the Controller says to them to pray, their prayers will be in error.

So you have to understand that till then the proofs are not clear. Of course, the organs are not burning in hell, but rather, they burn the disbelievers themselves and themselves are forces God uses.

Everything is created like a program, and there is but 19 Angels on hell, and they will guard it and keep it going. They organs like our skin if we go to hell won't feel pain, it's rather, they will create pain for us by Angels commands.

Allah (swt) will in every attempt try to save us from this world to the next, but, when we become use to disobeying him and use to turning away from him and belittle his sanctity and let Iblis and his forces control us, there won't be much he can do. Of course, God could've created this world in a way to guarantee guidance for every soul, but he tries us, and tries to make easy the way to repent to him and turn back, but so far, to his "anguish" and "overwhelming grief" as expressed in Suratal Yaseen, has not brought humans back to the straight path. God tries to save us but disbelievers....

Rather, even on the day of judgment, Satan will be their Master, like Quran shows, till it's too late and then when judgment brought out and everything decreed, he will say too blame yourselves and he just called us and they listened to him, but till then, he actually believes in what he is doing.

Iblis has deceived everyone but foremost himself, and won't be awakened till the very end, last disbeliever to believe will be him.

@Windwalker , and then the question of delegation of power. The Abrahamic God does/has to do all things himself. Perhaps he does not have faith in his angels after the Satan episode. With us, it is very ordered. Chitragupta, the accounts office, provides the 'karma-sheets' of the dead, Yama pronounces the rewards or punishment. They are not responsible for any other thing. So to say, "Finish your task and go home and sleep soundly.." Similarly, all things are distributed among Gods and Goddesses, for example, Lakshmi to look after wealth and Saraswati education and arts, etc.

No.

It's not a better arrangement.

There's also billions of demonic angels that must be dealt with, and the angel king of the abyss they have over them, Satan.

It's not all about us.

There will be two resurrections.

God's People go first at the start of the 1000 years of Revelation 20.

We go to the Father's House with many rooms for that time, New Jerusalem.

We have a part to play in the judgement of the lost, do you not know that the saints will judge the world?

During that time the Earth lies desolate, the land will vomit out it's inhabitants, like in the days of Noah, like in the days of Lot.

When the 1000 years are finished, New Jerusalem, the Beloved City, comes to the Earth with us in it.

The Beloved City is large. If it were to land on the USA, it would stretch from the Atlantic, to the Pacific Ocean. One end would sit in Canada, the other in Mexico. It will reach into the stratosphere. Every person ever born could have a "room" of ten acres with a ceiling high enough to house an atmosphere. And still room to spare for billions of holy angels.

When the sea gives up her dead, the lost will march across the broad plane of the earth. They will surround the Holy City. Evey eye will see Him. Every knee will bow for Jesus, at the awesome spectacle. This will be a day like no other, not hot, not cold.

The lost will be shown why they can't come. They'll be shown each time during their life where they ignored the chance and blasphemed the holy spirit. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

While we look out at them, and they at us, Satan will deceive them one more time. He will convince them that their only chance is to rush the holy City and get to the tree of life.

The the gates are open. And based on their sheer numbers, it will seem possible.

But just as they begin to make their move, fire falls from heaven and burns them up. Some are destroyed instantly. Some linger longer in the fire before they die. Leave room for the Lord's wrath. Some will be beaten with many stripes, some with few.

The fire continues to fall until it becomes a large body of liquid.

Lucifer and his angels are finally consumed by this lake of fire. And the Earth, and all of the works therein are consumed by the flame.

When the fire cools, the Lord will wipe every tear from our eyes. We will watch as He says:

"Behold, I make all things new.

We look forward to a new heaven, and a new Earth wherein righteousness dwells.

This is where the real fun begins.

Peaceful Sabbath.

Either original matter gets restored or the man gets cloned genetically.

I have this picture of God with a big vacuum, sucking up all of the scatter matter of the dead. Using it to physically rebuild the original flesh.

God, being God could do whatever God wants. Kind of silly IMO to make any claims about how all this is supposed to work. Nobody knows, so whatever folks believe is probably wrong and doesn't really matter. The future will be whatever it happens to be and there is no sense pretending any knowledge about it.

Even if he had a specific grave, Jesus might have a hard time as well. No sharks in the ground, but plenty of "worms etc".

I thought the same thing it's not like the body is physically preserved. Still many believe the flesh is resurrected since Jesus was resurrected in the flesh.

Jesus was a great Master, that is different. I read about Yogananda that after He died, his body did not decay for a few weeks (and that was in USA).
(and the body was not frozen:D). There are more stories about great Yogis leaving temporary their body, and then return. That could have been the case with Jesus (but that is just a thought I had right now). We will never know for sure what happened 2000 years ago.

But I do not believe human bodies will ever be resurrected en masse somewhere in the future.

I can understand that people like this idea, because they are attached to family/friends, and they hope to see them again. The good thing about this concept is that when they die, they believe they meet each other again, so they might die more peaceful.

Let the Bible answer:

Revelation 20:12-14 Common English Bible (CEB)

I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. Another scroll was opened too; this is the scroll of life. And the dead were judged on the basis of what was written in the scrolls about what they had done. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and Death and the Grave gave up the dead that were in them, and people were judged by what they had done. Then Death and the Grave were thrown into the fiery lake. This, the fiery lake, is the second death.

Judgement* not Judegme.

From your logo, I'd guess you're a Muslim right? Well, there's the problem right there. Depictions of the afterlife in Islam are very much a physical reality. You get transported to some fertile area and get a bunch of virgins to hang out with.

That is, their view of the afterlife is that it operates on the same rules as Earth, with you having a human body built for sexual pleasure, and that there is no purpose besides fulfilling animal desires. Good luck with that. But it neatly explains why you're having trouble with this. The Muslim mindset is aside from things like djinn, the world is mostly physical.

The Jews and the Christians however believe in body/soul duality, or that a soul is inside a body. They believe in a spiritual world.

A person eaten by a shark does not come back as a zombie with no head/arms or outright fragment of meat and kinda crawl ashore.

They are a spirit that arrives at whatever place is ordained for judgement.

God created them as angels, they then made their own decision to follow their own angel king of the abyss.

You write like a Rip Van Winkle waking up after 10 Centuries!

Thanks for reading.

Which part do you think doesn't look right?

I depended on some math guys to calculate the internals of New Jerusalem.

1500 miles square.

Did it make you worry?

Are you worried about it?

There's a phrase in Revelation about the great city being split into three parts.

Split into thirds.

"And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell.

It takes too long to explain, but from the OT Bible, through to Revelation, it talks about God's wrath being issued in measurements of thirds.

King David defeated the Moabites. He made them all lay down on the ground. Then he counted off and killed every two out of three people. But one third was spared. Two thirds destroyed. There was not a total destruction of them as a people.

From Ezekiel:

"A third part of you shall die of pestilence and be consumed with famine in your midst;

"A third part shall fall by the sword all around you; and

"A third part I will scatter to all the winds and will unsheathe the sword after them.

"And when I have spent my wrath on them, they will know that I the LORD have spoken in my zeal.

Another case where two thirds are destroyed, but one third is spared.

Revelation mentions a "third" being destroyed multiple times.

A third of the earth was burned up,
A third of the trees were burned up,
A third of the sea became blood.
A third of the living creatures in the sea died,
A third of the ships were destroyed.
A third of the rivers and on the springs of water.
A third of the waters became wormwood,
A third of the sun was struck,
A third of the moon,
A third of the stars,
A third of their light might be darkened,
A third of the day might be kept from shining,
A third of the night.
A third of mankind.

But two thirds are always spared.

There's never a complete destruction of the earth, or of all the inhabitants up to this point in the narrative.

But there comes a time, when the time has come, for God to destroy the destroyers of the earth.

"The nations raged, but your wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear your name, both small and great, and for destroying the destroyers of the earth”.

I would like to draw your attention to a Hindu equivalent to this concept that Oppenheimer quoted when he first set off the A bomb.

From the Bhagavad-Gita:

'Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds',

In Hinduism, which has a non-linear concept of time, the great god is not only involved in the creation, but also the dissolution. In verse thirty-two, Krishna speaks the line brought to global attention by Oppenheimer. "The quotation 'Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds', is literally the world-destroying time,” explains Thompson, adding that Oppenheimer’s Sanskrit teacher chose to translate “world-destroying time” as “death”, a common interpretation. Its meaning is simple: irrespective of what Arjuna does, everything is in the hands of the divine.

Oppenheimer quotes: the story behind 'Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds' | WIRED UK
With a sharp sword that comes from His mouth, a sharp command to die.

"The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered Babylon the great, to make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath.

The great city is split into three parts, split into thirds. Notice the "drain the cup" part?

Like, if someone drains the cup of the fury of God's wrath, this is total destruction. Wrath that is NOT diluted. I hate to even think about it.

All three "third"s are destroyed. Up until this point, the wrath was diluted, or mixed with mercy. A third of the trees, a third of the ships, a third of the day and a third of mankind. But two "thirds" were spared. At the end of the second coming, the cup is drained.

At the end of the end time tribulation, there will be only two types of people on Earth. At the seventh trumpet there will be God's People, and the rest of the dead who are the lost.

Then God's people are ALL changed in the blink of an eye and find themselves in the air while ALL of the tribes remaining on the earth will mourn, they are the dead men walking. What Revelation calls "the rest of the dead".

Those who are not killed in the wine press were slain by a sharp sword that came out from the white horse rider's mouth.

"And the rest were slain by the sword that came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh.

"And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
And the carrion birds have their instructions.

Ruling them with a rod of iron doesn't mean He's going to set up a government of the lost here on earth.

It means, like the vessels of a potter, they are going to be smashed to smithereens.

Our fun will be when the 8th millennium begins, when the Lord makes all things new.

Like the old bar tender says at closing time:

You don't have to go home,
but you can't stay here.

And the land, the Earth, will vomit out it's inhabitants.

"Even the land was defiled;
so I punished it for its sin,
and the land vomited out its inhabitants.
