I know exactly what you are talking about. I have made several threads in the past that were, I thought, very relevant to this site and that many people would like to discuss. I then watched them sit untouched. I am also annoyed with the other extreme on this issue, topics that receive too much of the wrong kind of attention. There are a couple things I would like to make threads about on this site but I know they would be closed within days due to flames and insults.

The 3 things that I find most annoying on RF are...
1. when religious posters pop into a thread just to tell you what god wants,
(usually with a million verses)
having absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the actual OP topic,
and adding nothing of value to the concept being discussed.
2. when athiest posters pop into threads just to tell you there is no such thing as god...
having absolutely nothing to do specifically with the topic at hand in any meaningful way,
and adding nothing of real value to the concept being discussed.
and
3. when certain posters just cannot wrap their mind around the idea
that there are RADICALLY different gOd concepts...
and thus respond to every mention of "god" with the same worn out "sky daddy" retorts...
without even bothering to consider what alternative theists might be about.
(free of their own internal "sky daddy" dialogue).
What do you find most annoying?
Well, if it hasn't been done already, let me be the first to apologize to you for annoyance #2 and I will try my hardest to not do that again. My short time here on RF I can see how this can be upsetting......Happy posting everyone....

Another annoyance is when people are scumbags!
For example, I've found an influx in anti-social anti-religious people recently who're impolite and stuff, and they're ******* me off nowadays.
But this also includes religious nuts :yes:
However, the majority of the people here are awesome!

Some people do seem to be a bit shouty. I always imagine they are about 13 years old and have just read their first non fiction book. It makes me find them less irritating somehow. Mostly because I remember being thirteen and reading my first non fiction non school book

But yeesh, some of the things that some of the noobs have come out with are quite mean things!
I mean, yeesh, even moderate people? He's basically just admitted to being nasty to people because of their beliefs, even if they aren't a literalist

I think sometimes it is reactionary, The bigger kids beat me and I beat the smaller kids kind of thing, in essence they disprove their beliefs by their own existence. Religion causes hate and this is why I hate religion.
