Hey everyone. :)

I am curious to know whether there is an imbalance between men and women on the forums and how many members reject the "binary" definition of gender as either male or female.

There is a lot of variety in the latter group so I hope that chosing a single umbrella term is not insensitive. debate on that is very welcome as it may help overcome ignorance on the subject. (The poll is private if that is an issue).

It is also interesting because often we can draw conclusions about people's gender based on their avatars and sometimes we can get it a bit wrong.

[my vote is "male".]

I can't say I am not female as four babies came out of me.
I suppose I might be non-binary, but I don't know what it means.

Gender discussions have evolved a plethora of gender types and binary is just the name for the plain old male/female role that most of us fall into. I imagine the term is derived from mathematics where zeros and ones are the only digits used in binary code.

I know what binary means. Thank you. I am not so familiar with what non-binary gender means. It can mean all sorts of things. I grew up in the 60s and early 70s and I did not hear about homosexuality or all those other things.

Do you mean biological traits?
No. More like how I think. For instance, I hate womanly chatter. I am not a phone person. If my sisters could see my face as they go on and on they would never call me again.
Maybe I have some male biological traits. Is big one? I have size 10 feet and I am tall. I do not have a lot of hair all over my body and I am glad I am not male that way.
