PREVIOUSLY ON THE MOD SQUAD
A stranger has recently entered the town and seems to be overwhelming RF members over to his way of thinking. The Mod Squad is baffled over this mystery but is determined to get to the bottom of it.
In another part of the community Moderator Mike182 falls and crash-lands only to be seduced by this mysterious stranger’s charms.
Mr. Emu intervenes to report on Mike182’s condition but is soon confronted by the source of the community’s troubles. The mysterious stranger hurls Bibles ridding Mr. Emu of his presence and authority.
Moderators Danisty, FeathersInHair and Maddllama try to find ways to contain the situation but are at a loss to figure out how to break the charm that has already infected too many community members.
In the Frubal patch, Moderator Lunamoth is persuaded by the mysterious figure but is also unaffected by his spells and meets with an untimely fate, her status and situation, currently unknown.
Who is this mysterious stranger and why is he disturbing the peaceful community of RF?

THE MAKING OF “RFfiliates” THE MOD SQUAD (Part 1)
THE WRITING
Creating comics is like putting a puzzle together without seeing the puzzle pieces or having a picture on the box lid to refer to. Most of my comic creations consist of “noodling” and “scribbling”. This is what makes it fun and is the driving force to realizing what will eventually end up as the final product and this is no exception when it comes to the writing.
I scribble notes on the back of NYS Thruway TOR (Tours Of Duty). These are 8 1/2 x 11inch sheets of paper that come in a pad and though the front of them are imperative to my job as a toll collector the blank, white backs serve no other purpose than for scribbling. I write out longhand and insert ideas, phrases and panel notes until I am close and comfortable to what I imagined.
If any other ideas or bright insights come to mind, I write them down on the nearest paper source and incorporate them later into the script. Also if you have the chance, take the opportunity to notice how much this rough draft resembles (or doesn't resemble) the first page (Post #88).
I use Microsoft Word to formalize my proposal and it is written like a script, providing me with emotions, dialogue and what I will eventually be drawing and seeing in each panel. It is literally the Bible and the final word. The final script is printed out on computer paper, stapled together and any changes or new ideas are jotted in the margins.
The neat aspect about writing any “RFfiliates” script is watching the story write itself. I have known most members for about four years now and their character avatars usually speak for themselves. The only thing I really provide is the conflict and plot; the characters provide their own dialogue and direction. Since this is my first full-length RFfiliates storyline, it is actually quite interesting to watch the story unfold.

MICHEL: THE UNEEKPATH COMMUNITY WAS ONCE OPEN TO INTER-RELIGIOUS DIALOGUE BUT IS NOW EXCLUSIVELY A CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY.

ROBTEX: WE DO NOT NEED TO EXPLAIN HOW DIRE THE SITUATION IS.
BOOKO: BOOKO!!
ROBTEX: WE SUSPECT THAT AT LEAST THREE QUARTERS OF THE COMMUNITY ARE NOW INFECTED BOOKO BUT WE ARE DOING EVERYTHING TO CONTAIN THE CONTAMINATION.
THUMBNAILS AND ROUGHS
Again, with the assistance of free NYS THRUWAY TORs, I roughly scribble how each page and panel will be shaped and choreographed. I draw crude circles for heads and pinpoints for facial features and expressions. This stage could go through many changes if I am unsatisfied with the way things look on the page.

This stage of “noodling” actually saves a great deal of time in the long run by showing me how a page flows, where people are going to stand and how much room I will have to leave for the dialogue balloons. If I am unsure of an expression I might resort to concentrating on certain characters until I know I can get the right look.

Actually. He was working on this comics called the Sunday paper but I think he is taking a break from that. Everytime I see him, he is working on RFfiliates. He even works on it while I drive. Rough copy of course. He enjoys drawing and he enjoys producing RFfiliates for everyone here on RF. He sometimes lets me proof read it. If there is a mistake, I didn't proof read it. He actually offered to have me do the inking. I wish I could, but my hands aren't steady enough. I am glad to read from everyone how you all enjoy RFfiliates. I sometimes get a little jealous because he pays more attention to RF then to me

The Administration has suggested that The Faithless are the only solution to stopping this nuisance. This pronouncement appears difficult to carry out and unpopular among the moderators, one that seems to be not only a risky strategy but a last resort as well. Who Are The Faithless and can the moderators find them in time to stop The Proselytizer?

How To Get Your Sunstone Photo Family Holiday Card.
- Copy and Paste this picture into another program. (if using Microsoft Word make sure you paste it on the bottom half of the page).
- Print the page and fold it in half.
- Taking crayons (I don’t care how old you are, everyone should own crayons) or any other coloring media (paint, pastels, pencils) and color the picture. If you want to use a computer program (MS PAINT, Photoshop etc.) before you go to print that is also acceptable. You can design your picture any color you want.
- Make the necessary cuts and display it wherever you have your other Holiday cards. Also makes a great desktop wallpaper
- Enjoy.

Yes but it doesn't offer the 872x1273 size to view if correctly (type wise and clarity). For some reason yahoo geocities does this to me everytime I post new pages but it usually corrects itself. Let me see if I can offer a mirror site. Disc space usage is fine but the data transfer is maxed.
UPDATE: Done. I did use photobucket, doesn't look too bad.
