Back to the riots - is there a connection between this racially motivated violence in the UK and the recent racially motivated flash mobs in Wisconsin, Philly, and Chicago?

For almost a year, police departments in several cities around the country, most noticeably in Philadelphia, Milwaukee, and Chicago, are investigating "flash mob"-generated violence, in which packs of dozens or even hundreds of youths, organized through social media sites, appear seemingly out of nowhere to commit assaults, robberies, and other crimes against innocent bystanders.
But here is the dirty little secret that PC media has been tiptoeing around all summer—the perpetrators are African-American and the victims are mostly white.

A Color-Blind Media
Here are two good examples of media outlets failing to identify the ethnicity of the attackers:

The Philadelphia Inquirer, which did not identify the race of the attackers (they were called “unruly teens&#8221 or victims in stories, quoted one of the victims in Center City, Jeremy Schenkel. A “shirtless kid punched him in the head,” the paper reported. “Schenkel fell against a car, then to the ground. His glasses flew off, cracked. He tried to shield himself.”

After weeks as failing to report the race of the assailants in several Chicago flash mobs, a Chicago Tribune writer named Mary Schmick attempted to justify her paper’s conduct, and was spectacularly unconvincing, finally admitting the obvious, “So, yes, the attackers were black. We notice. But how to measure the relevance of the fact?”

There is no excuse for this. These omissions are manipulative and dishonest. This type of incompetent journalism is allowing political correctness to morph into news censorship. These actions show a complete lack of respect for the public---as if we should be insulated from stories dealing with racial overtones for our own good. Such an attitude is the ultimate in arrogance and abuse of a journalist’s professional duty by people who have neither the credentials nor the right to decide what facts we are fit to know.

Thankfully, due to a growing number of African- Americans fed up with this senseless violence involving black youths, the PC media is now forced to properly report these incidents.

Mayor Nutter Speaks Out

Mayor Michael Nutter of Philadelphia (who happens to be African-American), unlike the journalists living in their PC fantasy world, is in the center of the storm. He doesn’t have the luxury to indulge in politically correct fantasies. His city is tearing itself apart.

And there is a racial component to the story.

Earlier this week, he spoke about the flash mobs, giving the media a healthy dose of reality.

Nutter spoke for about 30 minutes. He apologized, on behalf of the city, to Philadelphia’s law-abiding residents. He lectured irresponsible parents. He warned flash mobbers that they’d be locked up. He reiterated the need for a teen curfew.

But the money phrase—the one that warranted national media attention—was this: “Quite honestly, you’ve damaged your own race.”
In a speech that was aimed at directly Black parents, Nutter’s tone and message seemed reminiscent of Bill Cosby’s talks about Black parenting and responsibility, telling them to stop blaming white people for their problems.

I noticed that too. The media seem to mention race when only whites abuse blacks.

Nutter’s reprimands, like Cosby’s words, were very truthfully very blunt:


• “Take those God darn hoodies down, especially in the summer. Pull your pants up and buy a belt ’cause no one wants to see your underwear or the crack of your butt. Nobody.”


• “If you walk into somebody’s office with your hair uncombed and a pick in the back, and your shoes untied, and your pants half down, tattoos up and down your arms and on your neck, and you wonder why somebody won’t hire you? They don’t hire you ’cause you look like you’re crazy!”


• “The Immaculate Conception of our Lord Jesus Christ took place a long time ago, and it didn’t happen here in Philadelphia. So every one of these kids has two parents who were around and participating at the time. They need to be around now.”


• “Parents who neglect their children, who don’t know where they are, who don‘t know what they’re doing, who don‘t know who they’re hanging out with, you’re going to find yourself spending some quality time with your kids in jail.”


• To fathers: “If you’re not providing the guidance, and you’re not sending any money, you’re just a sperm donor.”


This refreshing take on the situation is perhaps Nutter’s bravest political moment as Mayor. Nutter’s standing among black voters is tenuous at best -- He’s seen by many black voters, rightly or wrongly, as not one of them. For a mayor with that problem, to walk into Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and castigate African-American parents—fathers in particular—for not taking responsibility for their children takes some serious guts.


Nutter’s speech seemed to resonate with much of the African-American community—He isn’t the only such voice in Philadelphia denouncing an increasingly worsening trend among young black men and teenagers. So hasJ. Whyatt Mondesire, chief of Philadelphia’s chapter ofNational Associated For the Advancement Of Colored People. Mondesire admits that Nutter’s delivering such a harsh message “took courage.”Said Mondesire, “These are majority African-American youths and they need to be called on it.”


In a post on The Root, a blog owned by The Washington Post that looks at the news “from an African-American perspective,” Nsenga Burtonwrote approvingly of Mr. Nutter’s message: “Tough love is love, and these kids need it, since they clearly aren’t getting it at home. Hopefully the City of Brotherly Love will have more tough love in the future and less foolishness, like these flash mobs.”

Racially Motivated?


Another layer to this saga that the PC media wishes to ignore is the mounting evidence that the flash mobs could be racially motivated. In other words, black teens may be targeting non-blacks.



Authorities in Wisconsin say they are investigating 11 new allegations of race-based assaults near the state fairgrounds in which the alleged perpetrators were all African-American and the victims were either white or Hispanic.



West Allis Police Chief Mike Jungbluth said the victims, who ranged in age from “young all the way up to adults,” suffered broken bones in the alleged attacks. Here is a pair of witnesses atlast week’s Wisconsin State Fair:


“It looked like they were just going after white guys, white people,” said Norb Roffers of Wind Lake in an interview with News radio 620 WTM..


“They were attacking everybody for no reason whatsoever.” “It was 100% racial,” claimed Eric, an Iraq war veteran from St. Francis who says young people beat on his car. “I had a black couple on my right side, and these black kids were running in between all the cars, and they were pounding on my doors and trying to open up doors on my car, and they didn’t do one thing to this black couple that was in this car next to us. They just kept walking right past their car. They were looking in everybody’s windshield as they were running by, seeing who was white and who was black. Guarantee it.”



The Enablers



Now that the national spotlight has exposed the racial element to these flash mobs, surprisingly some of the PC media not only tolerate the violence, but go so far to enable it.



What is the most important thing about mobs of black teens attacking and seriously injuring innocent pedestrians and businesses? The feelings of teenagers who share the race of the attackers, according toChicago's local CBS affiliate.


That's right: Mobs of teenagers have unleashed terror in the streets of Chicago and other cities in "flash mobs," and the most important thing CBS in Chicago has to say about that is that black teenagers are worried about racial profiling.



By the way, there is no evidence to suggest that Chicago policemen are racially profiling flash mobs, but the fact was completely overlooked in their story.



But Chicago’s CBS is not the only apologist in the media. Jonathan Taplin, director of the innovation lab at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication, said he was not surprised to see people using social media for organizing flash mob robberies. “You are essentially having a world where you have 25 million people who are underemployed and 2 percent of the population doing better than they ever have,” Taplin said. “Why wouldn't that lead to some sort of social unrest? Why wouldn't people use the latest technologies to effect that?



Great. The PC media feels that poor, urban blacks are entitled to play Robin Hood(ies).



It's easy to see why the media would give such frivolous treatment to flash mobs. The PC media has constrained our public debate about racial issues. A sheep-like media, craven politicians, and thoughtless academics have all failed in their duty to grapple with this social problem. The media is creating an atmosphere of passive ignorance towards racial violence, and that ignorance places all of us at risk. After all, the recent mob violence is the closest our nation has come to widespread racial strife in over 50 years.



If there were this level of racial tension and violence in a situation where the races were reversed, there would be a nationwide clamor for healing, compensation, and awareness. Attorney General Eric Holder would announce that the Justice Department would take immediate action and investigate these lynchings at once. Instead, we're treated to sappy stories about black teenagers' feelings. "Some Worry Mob Attacks Are Encouraging Racial Profiling," says the news.

Final thoughts


The Americans who believe in Martin Luther King’s idea that “content of character” trumps “color of skin,” have been cowed into silence for far too long. The intent of this article is to cut through much of the political correct bull crap that invariably accompanies any so-called national conversation regarding race, one that automatically brands anyone a racist for stating out loud ideas that conflicts with the racial narrative that the PC media peddles—blacks are the victims of a society that is dominated by racist white people.



But it is not racist to point out the glaringly obvious. And it is glaringly obvious that until the self-perpetuated destruction of the black family is addressed, like Bill Cosby and Mayor Nutter have done, that inner city problems will continue.



It is glaringly obvious that a progressive, far left ideology, which has institutionalized inequality in the form of racial quotas, affirmative action, and general lower standards for “people of color” as a means of proving how much it “cares” about these people, is an insidious perpetration of racial bigotry.



It is glaringly obvious that gansta rappers who endorse violence,flaunt their criminal rap sheets to earn street “cred”, and support a“stop snitching” attitude to the police are polluting the moral values of young African-Americans who idolize these musicians.



Finally, it is glaringly obvious that people on both sides of the color line have been burdened with such unnecessary baggage for far too long.
