Ron "pudding fingers" DeSantis suspends his campaign for the republican nomination

The DeSantis exit leaves his supporters to vote Trump in both the 1/23 New Hampshire and the 2/24 South Carolina primaries.

I suspect it will all be over by March 1st. Good.
It just occurred to me that with the primaries over there will be no distraction from Trump's criminal trials. Trump might continue with his rallies but those are so repetitive and boring that it makes no news, and it gives more opportunities for Trump to show his stress and confusion in front of the public.

The question will be after this is over is will the anti-Trump conservatives 1. not vote, 2. vote for Biden, or 3. vote for a third party candidate if there is one?

Trump so far has proven himself to be the best most effective weapon against the immature whining left wing.

Why in the world would the right wing give up such an effective candidate to essentially put the left in their proper place and knock off a couple of sticks off their petulant shoulders.
The right is willing to destroy the country just to "own the libs".

Nah, its' the right that needs to be brought low and taught its place. Those who hate liberty, democracy, rights, equality, science, etc. have no place in my country.

So DeSantis pulls a Ted Cruz and endorses Trump despite Trump insulting DeSantis in numerous ways, like accusing him of wearing high heels and grooming young girls as a teacher. Trump called him a bobble head due to DeSantis' tendency to bob his head when he talks. As a reminder Trump insulted Ted Cruz's wife's appearance in 2016, and Ted was furious, vowing to never support Trump. Of course the weasel did. Cruz has endorsed Trump yet again in a recent interview, forgetting how Trump said his wife is ugly.

Disgusting how conservatives engage in a voluntary "human centipede".

The current mainstream of the Republican Party has no tolerance for what would in other contexts be called "convenant breakers". You either convince the others that you are a Trump loyalist, or that you will somehow outcraze Trump, or you are perceived as an unworthy "enemy".

It is a destructive and insane situation, but very much a real one.

I sincerely wish the best of luck to the Lincoln project and other sane minds that somehow remain in the party despite itself.

Florida is the second freest state in the nation.

Texas is the 17th freest state in the nation.

You mean where they've banned abortion and books, and curtailed LGBT rights? States striving to be theocratic cesspits doesn't strike me as good examples of liberty.

Also, as we've pointed out countless times before, your little website measures "freedom" by a lack of regulation that protects consumers, workers, and the environment; i.e. how corporations are allowed to **** the little guy over.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

Of course you live in Brazil so you would appreciate such a organization solely oriented toward eliminating one's political opposition.

I'm not surprised.

Aw, c'mon! What could possibly be wrong with putting addictive or harmful substances into food products so people will buy more? Why is it so wrong poison rivers and lakes, if it helps to reduce the cost of the important things, like plastics, that help feed ocean wildlife (hey, if they eat it, they must like it!)?

And the gun lobby makes it clear: freedom is worth sacrificing your children for!

DeSantis never managed to really connect with voters, and that seems to me to be for two reasons. The first (the one the media plays on) is simply a personality that doesn't connect easily. I think the more important is that he couldn't bring himself to truly stand up to Donald Trump and say what needed to be said about the danger Trump brings, and how DeSantis wouldn't bring a similar danger. And because he couldn't do that, there was no reason for voters to suppose that he was in fact really any different.

I am not ready to believe that Haley can overtake Trump, but I will say this: if she does, there's a very, very good chance she could defeat Biden. I would be a little more comfortable with her, but still would not much prefer a Republican White House yet.
From someone that likes both Desantis and Trump, the reason I give my vote to Trump is that he has a track record of doing what he said he would do. Desantis would be a star and the front runner by far is Trump was not around. Desantis never figured out how to run against Trump. They agree on so much. In my opinion Desantis should have been saying I will bring Trump policies without the drama. A Trump/Desantis ticket would be great, although I don't expect that to happen.

Promises he failed to accomplish....
- Build the wall.
- Make Mexico pay for it.
- End any war.

Convince me. Why should I try to guess what you are talking about?

On second thought, never mind. Not worth my time.

I'm not surprised.
I don't care whether you are surprised. I am aghast that you act insane.
