After all... Roseanne Barr stands for freedom of thought and her outspokenness is a treasure that was inspiring for many voters who decided to vote for Trump.

I never worried about what celebrities think about anything. I think that may have been a problem for the Democrats, since they seem far too enamored with what celebrities think.

I think Americans are like that in general. They think hollywood is Mt Olympus. That is why a lot of Americans go on shows like Idols. They too want to become demigods and worshipped. So then it is actually a good marketing tactic for Dems to get support from celebs because people look up to them. In reality celebs are mere entertainers. One might get equal wisdom from a beggar on the street. People must realise that fame does not equate to knowledge or wisdom.

Media companies banning or restricting people from saying things that go against their values isn't a threat to free speech. Neither is protesting against people. Just counter protest or start your own platform. People can still host their own websites or go to alternative platforms that accommodate them too.

ACTUAL threats to free speech is when these people "disappear", or are brutally suppressed with force.

Exactly. But it also depends on target audience hey. Like Republicans have a big religious base, their celebrities are religious people, which ends up with Evaangelicals praying over Trump. So the Dems and the Reps are just two peas on opposite ends of the pod.
