So you're old school Amish?
I'm pre-Amish. We don't use fire, wheels or textiles. They are from the devil. Electricity is Ok though. We can have microwave ovens but cannot have the ones that rotate the food or casters for our furniture. It sounds complicated I know, but really it all makes sense when it is explained properly by a deacon.

I know your tricks. This thread won't become about your attempt to claim authority. Burying the issue in details of Russian
history doesn't change their usually having been under the thumb of some authoritarian regime, which illuminates the country's approach to war & populace's acceptance thereof. So if you've a point to make, tis better to just state it.

There's no tricks on my part. You were the one who decided the parameters of the thread by making it about history. If you didn't really want to talk about history and just wanted to make another mindless "let's trash Russia" thread without any basis in fact, then you should have said so at the beginning. That's one of your tricks.

And the question still stands: How much Russian history have you actually studied? And based on your deflection and refusal to answer, I guess you haven't studied any at all.

They became literate and educated, and they rapidly industrialized, which would later prove to be necessary. They went from being backward, bankrupt, and defeated to becoming the first country to launch a satellite into space. That doesn't excuse or mitigate anything Stalin did, but it does show marked improvement from what they had before.
And the rate they did it was phenomenal.
And they also were the first to document autism.

They got Snowden to swear fealty to Russia.
Inasmuch as the Americans marooned him there, he has little choice but to make the best of it.
Who's to say he isn't working for Russian intelligence already?
Given his history of whistle blowing and criticism of government overreach, I doubt any government is going to trust him anywhere near any clandestine operations. especially in a country rife with propaganda and abuse.

Both the USSR and Putin turned out to be trash.

Why do so many Italians have such horrible taste and judgement?
Russia has still a city named after an Italian Communist, Togliatti.
There was a strong spiritual bond between Italian Communists and Russian Communists.

The USA has never had Communists...I mean...Hillary Clinton is a rich Capitalist that claims to be a leftist.

Well, there was John Reed. He was buried at the Kremlin.

Hunter S Thompson ran for sheriff once. We also had Dr. Marin Luther King Jr.
We've had them, people just try really, really, REALLY hard to downplay and erase and deny it.

You confirmed my point. All people who were eliminated by the American Deep State.
Because MLK, JFK and RFK were all eliminated by the same criminal minds.
JFK sought a dialogue with Russia.

Conspiracies exist.
Procurators and the police investigate conspiracies. There is nobody who tells them: "you can't investigate that, you are a conspiracy theorist".
Jails would be empty because anything in criminal law is a conspiracy: the entrepreneurs that falsifies the books, the fraud that sets up a plot...etc etc

I think you know what I'm talking about. Not the legal definition, but secret assassinations, 9/11 being an inside job, FEMA deathcamps, faked Lunar Landing, and other such nonsense.

That's what procurators are. Conspiracy theorists: they theorize conspiracies.
For instance, if some bank employees steal some money from the bank's private accounts, that's a conspiracy.
And the procurators aka district attorney investigate, by theorizing the conspiracy and then looking for evidence.

Secret assassinations are also conspiracies.

Your deep state idea falls under this:
A conspiracy theory is an explanation for an event or situation that asserts the existence of a conspiracy by powerful and sinister groups, often political in motivation,[3][4][5] when other explanations are more probable.[3][6][7] The term generally has a negative connotation, implying that the appeal of a conspiracy theory is based in prejudice, emotional conviction, or insufficient evidence.[8] A conspiracy theory is distinct from a conspiracy; it refers to a hypothesized conspiracy with specific characteristics, including but not limited to opposition to the mainstream consensus among those who are qualified to evaluate its accuracy, such as scientists or historians.[9][10][11]
I'll leave that sort of thing for the X Files.

What makes conspiracy theories false? Nothing does.
Considering that a Sicilian politician, in the nineties (there are still the videos on YT) used to call defamers and conspiracy theorists those who used to speak of the inextricable link between Sicilian politics and mafia.
It turns out that the magistrates who were investigating all that, were murdered.
And the Sicilian politician in question went to jail for corruption.

So...I am very suspicious towards whoever calls anyone conspiracy theorists.
