Those Americans have always threatened us because they don't want Russians to enrich themselves with that natural gas. So they don't want us Europeans to buy it.
But what those Americans want is to seize that gas and the only way to seize it is to dethrone Putin through WW3

I'd fully expect USA to pressure Eurostanians to not
enrich Russia while it's unjustly invading another
country. Sanctions don't work if you guys support
Russia's military & its invasion with alternative
financing.

And since there is much pro-Russian sentiment in
Europe, such pressure is good.
