I think the Bible suggests that it doesn't matter as long as your life is dedicated to God:lets talk about the true day of worship that God has given to as
the sabbath?
do you believe that the sabbath is the day of worship not Sunday?
5 One person [c]regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, [d]does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God. 7 For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself; 8 for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
I think the Bible suggests that it doesn't matter as long as your life is dedicated to God:
Romans 14:5-8
by the way whats God's rest? its sabbath right?Of course.
What is and has been up to debate is the day and how
not if you have entered into Gods rest.
Psalm 95 10 For forty years I kept feeling a loathing toward [that] generation, And I proceeded to say: They are a people wayward at heart,...They shall not enter into my rest".
Hebrews 4:6 Since, therefore, it remains for some to enter into it, and those to whom the good news was first declared did not enter in because of disobedience, ... 8 For if Joshua had led them into a place of rest, [God] would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 So there remains a sabbath resting for the people of God. 10 For the man that has entered into [Gods] rest has also himself rested from his own works, just as God did from his own.
If you enter into Gods rest, then you are entering the true sabbath of God.
The commandments which he then triumphed over through the cross?Jesus said if you love me keep my commandment john 14:15
13 When you were dead [k]in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, 14 having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 When He had [l]disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through [m]Him.
16 Therefore no one is to [n]act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath [o]day 17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the [p]substance [q]belongs to Christ.
But it doesn't say which works, does it?its clear Jesus tells us to his commandment faith with out work is dead James 2:17
so you really believe that your explanation is reasonable even you friend you don't know the context of that text that you gave. i do believe in that text that you gave but friend sabbath is not only oneThe commandments which he then triumphed over through the cross?
Colossians 2:13-17
But it doesn't say which works, does it?
The only passages in the New Testament where the Sabbath is mentioned explicitly are ones saying that it no longer applies or is unimportant: Mark 2:27, Romans 14, Colossians 2, etc. To get your interpretation, you have to do mental acrobatics and read between the lines, while ignoring the plain reading of other passages that explicitly go against what you're saying.
by the way whats God's rest? its sabbath right?
Gen. 2:1-3, exodus 20:8-11
lets talk about the true day of worship that God has given to as

This was refuted in points 3, 4 and 8 here
At the very minimum, God wants us to keep holy or set apart at least one day a week and He was very specific as to which day.
You made an argument; I disagree with it.Does it though? I believe we dispelled this suggestion here
It doesn't. It renders it unimportant. Not exactly...Here's a reminder (third response from the bottom) here
Perhaps you could explain how Mk 2:27 does away with the Sabbath?
9 Departing from there, He went into their synagogue. 10 And a man was there whose hand was withered. And they questioned [f]Jesus, asking, Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?so that they might accuse Him. 11 And He said to them, What man [g]is there among you who [h]has a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out? 12 How much more valuable then is a man than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do [i]good on the Sabbath.
Well, there's a limit to how reasonable we can be. We are dealing with the Bible, after all.so you really believe that your explanation is reasonable
And you do? Please share.even you friend you don't know the context of that text that you gave.
No, he wanted the Isrealites to set aside a specific day. The christians were not asked to do so.
If you want to set a day aside, you should by all means do that. But a greater purpose is to enter Gods rest every day. That doesnt mean you cannot work to earn a living. You can. But what it means is that you can join God in his purposes and be included in his plan for mankind.
It doesn't. It renders it unimportant.
I think this is spelled out more clearly in Matthew 12:
So...
- it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- is it ever lawful to do evil, Sabbath or not?
Assuming your answer is no, then we end up with something like "do good on the Sabbath, just like any other day."
