Say bye bye to Tucker Carlson

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
That's where he started.

I would not be the least surprised if he showed up there as a consultant. CNN has a history of hiring the most despicable people as "expert consultants".
I didn't know that.

It's like Trump starting as a Democrat before he became Republican.

Not quite. That show was very much like Hannity and Combes. A genuine conservative and a genuine liberal hashing things out can make for interesting TV. I could not watch Hannity by himself nor could I watch Combes buy himself. Hannity, after he was freed of Combes went off the deep end when it came to politics. Combes actually made him a better man.

The Times of Israel notes:

ADL hails Fox News for long-sought ouster of Tucker Carlson

Carlson is separately facing a lawsuit from a Jewish former producer on his show, who alleges that senior staff fostered an office culture full of sexism and antisemitism, including berating an Israeli employee for taking the High Holidays off from work. The producer, Abby Grossberg, also said that she had been pushed by Fox to give false testimony in the Dominion case.
Citing anonymous sources, the Los Angeles Times reported that Carlson had been fired and that the decision to fire him had come from Fox Corporation Chairman Rupert Murdoch himself. The reason, the source said, had less to do with the Dominion settlement than with Grossberg’s lawsuit, and with Carlson’s commentary on other issues including the January 6, 2021, attempted insurrection at the US Capitol.
To the Anti-Defamation League, the firing was long overdue. The group’s leader Jonathan Greenblatt called for Fox to fire Carlson in 2021, after the host first promoted the white-supremacist Great Replacement theory on air.
“It’s about time,” Greenblatt said on Twitter. “For far too long, Tucker Carlson has used his primetime show to spew antisemitic, racist, xenophobic & anti-LGBTQ hate to millions.” [Times of Israel]

A far more palatable headline was that of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency:

The point being that both Murdoch and Fox where more than happy to spew the "Great Replacement" theory* so long as it proved profitable.

That's a flat out lie that Carlson promoted "white nationalist rhetoric" on his show. I watched the full clip of his monologue that the ADL is referring to and it had nothing to do with race at all. He was talking about how our illegal immigration problem impacts all Americans and even spent some time talking about how it negatively affects black Americans. There is no evidence of him spewing any sort of racism. He had a wide variety of many different guests on his show, of all different colors and opinions, and he allowed them all time to speak. You don't have to like him, but it's best not to rely on lies as your reason. Honestly, he should sue the ADL for defamation. ;)

Good riddance to you! I can return the favor just as much. Not my fault you can't come up with a response. Don't let the door hit your *** on the way out. Not the first time I've thrown you on ignore, either. Don't know why I took you off. Not happening again.

@Ella S. , you can join him on ignore. Anyone else? Let's go.
Well, I guess that partially answers my question.

I can now respond to your chronic bigotry in every thread and not have to see your terrible defenses of your blatant hate in my notifications anymore. Thanks for handing me the last word in every argument.

These are the sort of strategic errors common to people who are blinded by their own emotions, which is coincidentally exactly what leads to defending racists to begin with.

Tucker will be fine. It's not like he won't just start his own media company, like how Ben Shapiro has the Daily Wire and Glenn Beck has the Blaze. Fox is going to suffer here as he was their biggest star, and his show had the highest ratings of any of the cable news shows IIRC. I'm too busy laughing about Dumb Lemon getting fired at CNN, anyway. :D
I doubt Fox will suffer. Tucker was elevated to replace O'Reilly after he was sacked, history will repeat itself and they'll elevate one of their other vipers or just hatch a new one. For now, they're going to have revolving hosts for his time slot until they decide whether to promote someone or bring in someone new.

Calrson literally sent a private message to a colleague saying he thought the stolen election narrative was a lie, then he turned around and spread that same lie on his show as if it were truth. The guy is a snake

Don lemon also got canned. Good riddance to them both. I wonder if they will suffer the same fate as bill oreilly who is now slowly fading away into obscurity in a corner of youtube no one watches

I guess in this story so many people have the tail of straw.

Most of those immigrants are Latino. Our businesses recruit them. You benefit from them. What people like Tucker do not understand is that if you do not like illegal immigrants go after those that hire them. At any rate racism is not just being against black people. It is being against Latinos too.

Watter's World will probably replace Tucker, and you are right, he is no better.

Is it bad of me to say that I was always creeped out by Tucker?
I don’t know why. I just always found him kind of unsettling.

His reaction to the green M’n’M didn’t help that perception at all.
Seriously, what even was that?
