Just sheer luck I opened an old file - one of dozens I barely remember - stages of spiritual growth but really it is 11 traps that you will encounter on your spiritual journey -

The trap of superiority

This manifests as the tendency to “look down” upon others who are not as “consciously advanced” or “awakened.” The trap of superiority can be seen as a subtle feeling of “being better” than others who aren’t “spiritual.” In more extreme cases, this trap can appear as the tendency to lash out at people who are still “asleep,” “blind” or “sheep” of society. This kind of reactive behavior can often be seen in people who have just “woken up” to the state of the world, yet have undergone minimal spiritual growth. We need to remember that everyone is doing the best they can at their level of consciousness. When the time comes, they will awaken too.

Transforming pain into compassion -

A couple of videos? Plus this -

“I feel your pain.” That phrase took on a whole new meaning when scientists first were able to visualize how the brain processes someone else’s suffering. In a landmark paper in Science in 2004, Tania Singer and colleagues showed that some pain-sensitive parts of the brain are activated when we empathize with others who are in pain.

The researchers used fMRI to measure the neural responses of participants both when they experienced pain and when their loved one, present in the same room, experienced pain. They found that empathy activates the pain-related parts of the neural network associated with emotions but not sensorial experiences.

Nearly a decade after this work, researchers continue to learn more about empathy, including social factors that influence it, such as whether a person is part of your group or an outsider. They also have discovered a range of connections between empathy and various other emotions and senses.

May have mentioned this site previously - you know what my mind is like -

After reading about Soul Loss, it’s easy to think of it as something bad that has happened to us. However, here it’s important to realize that Soul Loss is in fact, a gift.

In the same way that you become unconscious when you’re experiencing immense amounts of physical pain, your psyche is wise and knows its limits. Your mind knows what it can and can’t handle, so it fragments and dissociates (or scatters) as a survival mechanism to protect itself from feeling the fullness of pain.

This splitting of the psyche only becomes an obstacle when the pieces aren’t actively retrieved. This is what leads to chronic depression, suicidal tendencies, post-traumatic stress syndrome, addictions, immune deficiency problems, and grief that refuses to heal.

However, the retrieval of these lost pieces is not the end of the work. We must then learn how to integrate them back into our lives in order to recover the vital power, potential, and energy they possess.

Without these lost parts, we don’t feel whole. Instead, we feel weak, depressed, anxious, or empty. We lose touch with our Souls. We feel as if something is missing, and we fill that emptiness with anything we can.

For gang? - energy vampires -

Shine so brightly that their negativity doesn't weigh you down

While psychic vampires live to take other people’s energy, not all of them realize their actions. Some of them may just need love and support, and have lashed out at others out of desperation or anger. In a short excerpt from Dr. Judith Orloff’s New York Times Bestseller, “Emotional Freedom: Liberate Yourself From Negative Emotions and Transform Your Life,” she says,

“Some are overbearing and obnoxious; others are friendly and charming. For example, you’re at a party talking to a perfectly nice person, but suddenly you’re nauseous or weak. Or how about the co-worker who drones on about how she broke up with her boyfriend for the tenth time? Eventually, she feels better, but you’re spent. The bottom line is that on a subtle energy level these people suck you dry.”

To combat this, remember that some people you encounter have just had a bad day. This does not make them a malicious, negative person whose goal in life is just to ruin other people’s vibrations. All of us can lend a helping hand to other people, so why not try to understand their situation and offer them some support instead of automatically labeling them as a negative person?

Highly sensitive people -

For happy thread?? --->

It wasn’t until much later in my life that I learned that I’m a highly sensitive person (HSP), and things finally made sense. Highly sensitive people process information deeply, and as a result, they experience the world a little differently than non-HSPs. Images of violence or stories of heartbreak can be excruciating to HSPs. Sudden loud noises, bright lights, and busy schedules have the power to rattle us profoundly.

(Read more about what a highly sensitive person is.)

Today, I’m a writer who studies introversion and high sensitivity. I’ve found that HSPs need somewhat different things in life than non-HSPs to be happy. Here are 14 of those things. Keep in mind that every highly sensitive person is an individual, so each will need slightly different things to thrive.

Why is the Spiritual Awakening Path ‘Perilous’?

To many, it’s an inconvenient truth, but the reality is that the spiritual path isn’t all sunshine and roses.

Yes, going through a spiritual awakening can be breathtakingly beautiful and eye-opening, but it can also be dark and scary.

The reality is that there are numerous traps and deceptive predators lurking in the shadows, masquerading as light (or enlightened). YES, it is possible to get lied to. YES, it is possible to adopt a belief that deepens your trauma. YES, it is possible to get emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and financially preyed upon. Not everyone is out to lavish you with blessings.

This is the reality. And it’s important to keep your eyes alert, your senses finely tuned, and your hackles raised when danger emerges.

You deserve to know the truth, be prepared, have the power to set boundaries and protect yourself if necessary. You deserve to walk a path that is genuinely illuminated.

Google - spiritual awakening dark side - leads here -

Usually, when we start awakening, we will feel completely disconnected from the people around us, just like we peel away from the old lives we once lived. It will be a beautiful, or painful, and confusing time at the same time.

What happens is that the soul wakes up and looks to unbury the person we really are. However, how may we unbury the unique selves without also unburying every aspect of ourselves which we don’t like? How can aspects be healed without acknowledging our wounds first?

Download this pdf - big claim - the book of real answers to everything! -

‘The Book Of Real Answers To Everything!’ by Jeremy Griffith

Here is a little taste -

I must say I am so thrilled with Griffith’s explanation of the human condition that I am dedicated to promoting it wherever possible. As a psychiatrist I recognise that the impasse to finding this great breakthrough understanding of the human condition has been that the subjective issue of the human condition has been all but impossible for humans to think effectively about, but now that this great psychological denial blocking access to the truth about ourselves has finally been penetrated and understanding of ourselves found, the now long overdue psychological rehabilitation of the human race can finally occur. Again, as I have also said on numerous occasions, this is all so exciting—I am quite overwhelmed to be here on Earth when these REAL answers are finally established! I cannot recommend strongly enough the understandings contained in this book, or in the more complete presentation that is provided in Griffith’s book FREEDOM.

Enjoy!

Jung quotes -

TOP 25 QUOTES BY CARL JUNG (of 822) | A-Z Quotes

Over 800 of them would you believe?

Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darkness's of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.

Enjoy!

Awakening Your True Self

First I click on -

Some readers have asked me to elaborate more on what I wrote in my previous post, regarding the “self within the self.” Here, I explain that a bit more, emphasizing the growing links between Western science and Eastern perspectives about consciousness and the physical universe.

In the previous post I mentioned that George Eliot wrote in Middlemarch: “It’s never too late to be what you might have been.” Of course, it can be hard to realize what that is, exactly, especially when “what you might have been”—your true self—has become smothered by the life events and experiences that formed your external, “false self.” Nevertheless, most people have glimmers of awareness, moments in which you experienced the real “you.” Many occur at key turning points in your life when you chose, or were persuaded, to go this direction vs. that.
