Schizophrenia

You might assume that how you view yourself affects your mental health — now, and in the future. If you have a negative sense of your worth, low self-esteem, or a sense of victimhood, it can be hard to see your own role in that self-image; and how it's been shaped by early trauma or harmful life experiences. That can make it more difficult to build greater mental health and well-being.

On the other hand, if you have a strong sense of your value and "presence" in the world, and strong self-confidence, those qualities are likely to show themselves with the internal strengths and the capacity for resilience you need in the face of difficulties or setbacks. But maybe not: If that sense of yourself is so fueled by narcissism and ego, you're more vulnerable to experiences that puncture your inflated view of yourself. And that undercuts your capacity for greater mental health; similar to the person with a diminished sense of self-worth.

It is a bold thing to say but I believe that those of us who have been touched by schizophrenia are fortunate. We can no longer ignore our spirituality ... we have to believe in the transformation that we have undergone; we have to listen to the needs of our souls. As a result of this, we have a real chance to grow as human beings.

I forget where I found that ... so a google search -

“Spiritual emergency” as a word was first coined Czech psychiatrists Stanislav and Christina Grof and was expanded in the 1989 book Spiritual Emergency: When Personal Transformation Becomes a Crisis. Since then it has increased in popularity, although is still relatively unheard of within mainstream spiritual communities. (I want to change that.)

Spiritual emergencies can happen to anyone at any point in life. Those who are not particularly ‘spiritual’ can experience it just as often as those who are actively engaged on the spiritual path. The common uniting factor is usually that a person undergoes a shock (in the form of illness, family death, major life change, etc.) that triggers the spiritual crisis.

The spiritual emergency can last anywhere from a few days to a number of years. The process is very much dependant on what kind of environment you live in and how supportive vs. unsupportive it is.

Schizophrenia is among the most misunderstand of mental health disorders. This may be partly due to the origins of the term schizophrenia, which are based on the ancient Greek skhizein (split) and phren (mind). The “split mind” label has led many people to confuse schizophrenia with multiple personality disorder (now referred to as Dissociative Identity Disorder). Some of the best known quotes on schizophrenia add to this common misconception, such as Oscar Levant’s quip that “schizophrenia beats dining alone.”

Levant was one of America’s first popular entertainers to out himself for his mental health problems (he experienced multiple psychiatric hospitalizations and is famous for having said “There’s a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.”), but he did not have schizophrenia. Remarks like his may have seemed funny at the time, but they actually contribute to the misunderstanding, ignorance, fear and stigma surrounding this disorder which affects 1.1% of Americans.

More about spiritual bypassing from that email -

What comes to mind when you think of ‘spirituality’?

You might picture beautiful temples, ethereal instruments, golden Buddha’s, gardens and forests of paradise, the faces of enlightened masters, angels, mountain ranges, sunsets, or any number of other dazzling images.

We tend to associate spirituality with transcendental and heightened states of being that are invariably associated with the feelings of happiness, joy, deep inner peace, and contentment.

At its core, spiritual bypassing is like any other form of avoidance that rewards us with a false feeling of security and happiness, while undermining our deeper path of self-growth and transformation.

One wouldn’t normally think of RAGE and ASCENSION in the same sentence. However, the two go together very intensely for many of us living through the ongoing ascending, evolving, shifting process.

I’d never felt rage in my life prior to the start of my Ascension Process so it was a shocking and almost embarrassing feeling to have suddenly. There I was all the sudden, raging and hating certain people, certain systems and belief systems with such intensity that I wondered who I’d become overnight! It was a totally foreign feeling for me and I wasn’t much impressed with it.

But, I learned over time that RAGE was just one more aspect of the ongoing Ascension Process that many of us really need to go through. The big question is why of course. So many people believe that if something is “spiritual”, then it’s going to come in a stereotypical lofty Christian colored package because that’s all they’re familiar with after the past 2,100 years. Many people expect ascension and its many symptoms and feelings to be kind and gentle and turn the other Piscean Age cheek type of business. Let me tell you that they’re in for a huge surprise and awakening!

Further down that page -

RAGE and INTOLERANCE go hand-and-hand with the Ascension Process and it’s normal so don’t panic. Many of us need to realize that if we don’t finally become enraged over the negativity, the corruption, the greed, the insanity, the lower negative everything and everyone — even lower aspects within ourselves — then nothing changes, improves or evolves.

To help us reach that state where we simply cannot and will not stomach or endure or continue being co-dependent with and enabling of all lower negative things, people, situations, beliefs and systems etc., the Ascension Process gives us intense RAGE and INTOLERANCE of all those systems, objects, beliefs and people still vibrating much lower. This is good, this is positive, this us growing beyond those lower old patriarchal systems, greed and ignorance. The rage Ascension Process produces is a symptom of our evolving beyond those lower frequencies and consciousness. Don’t beat yourself up over this one as it’s a normal aspect of your ongoing stair-steps of the Ascension Process. Feel what you’re feeling, but more importantly, know why you’re feeling it and then be ready to release it all back into neutrality.

So my anger is natural?? :)

Call on Kali to help you seek the truth, break away from destructive habits and to help you align with your path of purpose. She can also help with smoother transitions with change.

Depending on the situation, it may take time for Kali to do her work, but trust that it will be done and it will be powerful.

Busy weekend -

Found this from Ron Unger ...

One of the most damaging aspects of the mainstream understanding of “mental health” difficulties is that they are conceptualized as a problem separate from the bigger and deeper problem of how we make sense of our lives as a whole, and how we find meaning, or spiritual questions.

I was recently asked to address the intersection of spirituality and mental health in a talk at the Unitarian Church in Vancouver BC. What follows is roughly a transcript of that talk, in which I question that split and outline a very different, and integrated, approach to understanding. (Or if you want, you could also watch or listen to this video of me rehearsing the talk):

So I tried a little search off-the-top-of-my-head ... ascension humanity love - a couple of videos? Plus this site being the first to catch my attention -

"If anyone had told me 20 years ago when I worked in Public Relations that I would one day speak and translate the Arcturian language, or any of the multi-dimensional light languages that I speak, I would not have believed them!

My life changed one day in March 1996 when I followed a calling to attend a ‘Learn to Channel’ workshop in Auckland, New Zealand where I lived for many years."

The great news is people are beginning to wake up—consciousness-wise and through spiritual expansion. The bad news is this is not an easy thing to navigate, especially when you feel like you are all alone. That’s why I developed my online community, so that people can share their fears, concerns, experiences with like-minded people from all over the globe. I know my clients look forward to current energy information each month, plus the forums and webcasts help keep them connected. It’s great validation that you’re not going crazy and that you’re not alone!

Signs spiritual awakening emotions - plus suggested searches?

For example -

Sudden waves of emotion:

Crying at the drop of a hat. Feeling suddenly angry or sad with little provocation. Or inexplicably depressed. Then very happy. Emotional roller coaster. There is often a pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is not to be confused with the heart, which is located to the left of the heart chakra.

Advice: Accept your feelings as they come up and let them go. Go directly to your heart chakra and feel the emotion. Expand it outward to your all your fields and breathe deeply from the belly all the way up to your upper chest. Just feel the feeling and let it evaporate on its own. Don’t direct the emotions at anyone. You are cleaning out your past. If you want some help with this, say out loud that you intend to release all these old issues and ask your Higher Power to help you. You can also ask Grace Elohim to help you release with ease and gentleness. Be grateful that your body is releasing these emotions and not holding onto them inside where they can do harm. One source suggests that depression is linked to letting go of relationships to people, work, etc. that no longer match us and our frequencies. When we feel guilty about letting go of these relationships, depression helps us medicate that pain.

Want to always be happy

Found one that is the first I click on -

Want to Be Much Happier? Science Says Always Do Any 1 of These 8 Things

We all want to be happier and feel a greater sense of fulfillment. That's why I often write about what happy people do more often, about some of the habits of remarkably happy people, about things to stop doing so you can be happier at work, about simple daily habits of exceptionally happy people.

And recently I wrote about the difficult choices people make that make them happier, especially over the long haul.

Kevan Lee, the director of marketing for Buffer, also writes a lot about happiness.

Enjoy!

And while this has nothing to do with “better” or “worse”, because each soul is on the perfect path for them, those who are on the front lines of the ascension process (ascending from third dimensional reality to fifth dimension reality) can often feel disheartened or lonely even to see a world reflecting back to them so much pain and suffering.

Post this to forum???? --->

Perhaps the most difficult part of the ascension process is the shedding of the old to make way for the new. The universe needs us to be as empty as possible to enter 5d consciousness and it does this by giving us opportunities to heal and release all pent up emotional blocks and belief systems by way of one devastating experience after another.
