Science can say nothing about existence of God

There is NOTHING on which can escape science, even art, music, psychology, or the non-existent almighty God.

Oh, yes. Similarly, whether a tea-pot is circling the earth or not, or if there are pink fairies and green elephants. Ben, don't be so apologetic.
Friend Aupmanyav, I really don't know why you have it in for Brahman....what wrong do you conceive was done to you? I am using the concept of Brahman as a representation of the absolute reality.... But I get ahead of myself...why do you think I was I being apologetic?

Ben, you mentioned Brahman along with God and Allah, but there are Hindus who would not equate Brahman with God, I wanted to point to that. IMHO and as you write, Brahman is the representation of absolute reality which does not create (we take it as unchanging and eternal), and uninvolved in worldly affairs. Therefore not a God who demands worship or judges peoples' actions.

Brahman is not God (at least for me).
Others believe it is G-d.

In the Bhagavad-Gita, Krishna is Ishvara and denotes Saguna Brahman, and the term Brahman means Nirguna Brahman:

I (Ishvara) am the basis of the impersonal Brahman, which is immortal, imperishable and eternal and is the constitutional position of ultimate happiness. (Bhagavad Gita 14.27)

I (Ishvara) am transcendental, beyond both kshara (the fallible, perishable world) and akshara (the infallible). (Bhagavad Gita 15.18)

Ok got it... Btw, as you know...Allah means God....that others believe there is a dualistic relationship between creator and creation is their error...Allah is absolute is how I mean it...

Science may not say nothing about God, but science revels the beauty of the cosmos and its workings, where as religion can only pretends it knows, with all of its mumbo jumbo.

Don't forget my last piece of that sentence.

I am interested to know on what credible basis you make this claim...how many years have you studied and practiced religion...and what religion did you practice under?

Anything I tell you, you will only judge, but I will tell you. I have been studying religion including Christianity for about 20 years, the only church I have been in was the Seventh Day Adventists, I was in that church for about 14 years.

Seventh Day Adventists...say no more..some mumbo jumbo there alright...but still some sincere and lovely people among them...according to my experience. Still....SDA is hardly a basis on which to judge all religion....

As I said I was one for 14 years, I have learnt much after I left, I like to read about all religions, but I have to say that the SDA, are the closest to the bible, that is if the bible was true, or should I say literally true.

Sure...the sabbath is not Sunday...they got that right....prophecy though has not been so spot on...but a stopped clock is still correct twice a day so sooner or later they may be in a position to say...I told you so...:) But the bible is only a inspirational guide......it is the serious religious practice that helps to develop the intuitive faculty which leads to non-conceptualized insights that is important......

With that yes I agree, and that is just what I am about, serious spiritual investigation, and that is what I share, as you do also, there is no wrong or right in this.

As though you are in any position to pass credible judgment...

This is a spiteful, inflammatory, and ignorant comment from you Mestemia....what do you know about my knowledge of SDA......and on what basis do you make that unsubstantiated judgement?

Really?
How so?
It is my opinion that you are merely beating your chest for your preferred beliefs.
Just like every other theist.

You are merely comparing the SDA beliefs to your own and pointing out the differences.
Until you can show one is right, that is all you are doing, pointing out the differences and claiming they are wrong.

Prove me wrong.
Prove that you are not merely comparing your interpretations to theirs and arbitrarily declaring one right and the other wrong.

Remember, I am not in your choir.

Read the thread...I was agreeing with psychoslice who was with SDA for 14 years....I am quite familiar with the history. beliefs, and prophecy of SDA, and so I intuited where he was coming from and expressed my agreement with him... I am not a follower of any religion, but respect them all wrt the ultimate religious goal....I personally practice non-dualism meditation....and my second great love is science....

Science requires the exploration of falsifiable claims. The existence of God is not a falsifiable claim. Therefore science can say nothing about it.

Didn't read the whole thread....but....

Science chasing falsifiable claims?
I suppose you could say it that way.
Make a theory as to why things work the way they do...and then test for a variable.

Won't happen about God....the experiment won't fit in the petri dish.

But there have been several science programs of late...that mention God.....A LOT!
