Shipwrecked!

Pussyfoot Mouse

Super Mom
Okay, now at first I thought I was loosing my mind, but now I know this isn't just me being dillusionsal. My friends from my computer have finally been sent to me. It's awful, the circumstances, but I can't help but feel so much joy.

"I would! I'd know a corrupt priest, and a FeathersinHair, and who wouldn't know Draka?" I exclaim.

"And here standing before you all is none other than a Pussyfoot Mouse!"

I feel the tremble in my voice. I'm so excited to be here with them. But who else? Who else is here? Is this some sort of a joke? How could this be?
Then I look over at Teri and realize why there was such a connection with all these new friends.

"Enhanced Spirit?"

My jaw kind of drops. I can't believe this. What are the chances? There aren't. This makes me wonder about just who exactly set up that contest...the one I won the cruise ticket on. Five people from RF? And who yet knows about the others? I wonder to myself how the others got their tickets. An online contest as well?

"Oh My God! Corrupt Priest? Pussyfoot Mouse? Enhanced Spirit? Can this be?

Even though I have never met any of these people in person, aside from Meggie, I feel compelled to hug them all. This is all just too much. Well, at least this tragedy won't seem so bad knowing that I will be with people I already kind of know...and such cool people too. I reach out and give a hug to Michael and turn to Jules with arms open.

Wow, I can't believe these people are from RF. That would explain why I've been thinking I've seen them before. I rub my eyes from being tired, then stand up.
I am Luke Wolf. I look down and notice my hand is black. The hair dye is really starting to come off. Well, if any one wants lessons in wrestling, I'll train any one. We might be here for awhile.

Meggie ponders this, after gleefully hugging Luke, PFM, ES and CP.

"Well, I'm happy to take the first watch! I've always been a bit of a night owl," she says, smiling.

"thankyou feathers, is everyone warm enough? it may turn cold tonight

right then, with that sorted, i bid you all a good night"

as i lay down, i gaze up at the stars, and realise jsut how far away from home i really am. i start to feel lost, not being able to recognise any of the star constellations, i invisage "orion" the hunter, who's constelation i can see clearly from my bedroom window. "drat" i say to myself "we're missing some very important pieces to this picture, i wonder, why did the pirates attack us..... were we carrying any special cargo, it would be good to see an inventory list" i think, "but how would i get a list like that....... i wonder, that sailor, im willing to bet a small fortune that the knows something non of us know, and, im wiling to be a bigger fortune i can get it out of him"

with that in mind, i slip into a state of darkness, with worry leaving my currently brittle body to lay limp with exhaustion

Watches in shifts is an excellent idea. We need our rest after such an ordeal and there is lots to do in the morning. I realize that there is plenty of light from the moon to see our way about, but not see everything. So I look at my watch.

"Watches should be with two people for now, and change off about every three hours. Look around and keep your eyes out, but never walk too far that you can't see the group. I'll take the first watch with Meggie for now and wake two more people in about 3 hours. Does anyone want that shift or should I just wake someone up?"

I'll go double shifts and take the second and third watch. During the first watch, I will just outside the woods and look for things I can start making bows and arrows with. I will need to go deeper to find material that will be usuable for string to use as bow string and to tie an arrow head to a stick. I will do that tomorow.
I walk of a bit to start looking for usuable wood. Maybe I should start making axes first to chop the trees down. As I look around, I notice several large stones piles on top of each other. That is too good. I pick up a few stones and head down to the tide line. I drop the stones by in the sand. Now, I have to find something flat and hard. Maybe the floating chuncks of wood aren't water logged yet. I walk out into the water a little ways to sort the floating pieces of wood. By touching some of the pieces, I can since the auras they absorbed. I can feel the moments of horror from the attack. As I go on looking for a good piece of wood, I see one piece of wood floating, with a bag on it. I go to the bag to find that it is my bag. I have been blessed this night. Not only do I now have all of my tools, herbs, and oils, I now have my knife-sharpener, and several clothes. And at the front of the board, as if guiding it, sits my wolf statue. This board is also usuable. I guide the board back to the beach. I give my three bags of hops to ES, along with two bags of wolfsbane and mandrake. I also throw many of my clothes into a pile to be ripped and used for bandages, or any other usefull things. I go back to the tide line to start pounding the stones into axes. I then remember, Peter is a Druid. Maybe he is fimiliar with the Wild Hunt ritual. I need to go ask him. If he is, we can both go on one, and things might become much easier if we are going to be stuck here.

"Okay, hmm...how about you Peter? You want to do the second shift with Luke? And perhaps, Jules could do third shift? Does that sound fine?"

I notice Luke wandering off to search for supplies and quickly toss him my lighted compass.

"In case you go too far and lose sight of us or your bearings...can't be too safe you know."

I figure we can leave the others to rest as they have been injured a little more than the rest of us. I want Michael and Teri and of course the little girl to get as much rest as they can.

True, but Druidus is busy with school and whatnot. Perhaps, until he gets back so we have a more concrete story to follow, we should create a different thread? We can still keep going in this one, too!

We're still at the same night we just escaped pirates...I think we can at least make it through the night and maybe further before any new "twists" can be thrown into the mix. I'm sure we can all come up with a few good things along the way. I'm trying to get ahold of Druidus now...so we shall see whaat he says providing I can drag his butt here.

as i open my eyes, i am dazzeld slighly by the bright sun, it must be fairly late in the morning now! my head aches slightly as i remember the events of the previous day, but i get up anyway, my side wound throbbing a bit, but not enough to merit attention.

i pick up my trenchcoat, its dirty, sandy, shabby looking, but i shake it around and it seems to be in one piece. i put it on as i am slightly cold, and then i look around at the rest of the group, going about their various tasks

i see luke wolf knelt down besides a pile of rocks and wood, i walk over and lean on the palm tree next to him ... ... ...

"you saved that girl?" he asks

"yea, i couldn't leave her"

"thats brave" he says.

i start kicking my feet around in the sand, axamining flat pieces of wood, and picking up a few that seem about the same size as the ones i collected last night

"what are they for" luke asks me

"i'll get some burnt wood from the fire tonight, and i'll engrave them with numbers to make a tarot deck" i explain

"ah, i thought you were christian" he says

"yes, well, i used to be pagan, and i still hold some beliefs and ways of old" i reply

i go back to examining the wood ... ... ... ...

Are you trying to say I'm a tyrant, Luke Wolf????

Oops, sorry about that. Julie was just the first name that came into my mind.

All I can think is "Wow, a christian who doesn't go on a condemning trip when something Occultic is mentioned."
"I can't wait to see them." I tell CP. "My bag of stuff somehow found it's way here. It has several books, including a Tarot one if you need a quick reference. I also have my own three Tarot decks, allthough the one, a Vampire deck, doesn't like to be read, or even used at all, during the day time. After I get a few axes made, I'll do a reading."
I keep chipping away at the stones for a few more hours, until I have made two axes. Now I just have to get some sturdy sticks and something to tie them together.

"a vampire tarot deck, i have one that is based on vampires, though it is probably on the bottom of the ocean now."

i pull out the silver box, open it, and start threading some open rings onto the weave of mail

"nice, you make much?"

"yea, i sell bits and bobs to a local shop occasionally, i get a reasonable price for them aswell" i tell him. "i could make a fairly big piece, weave some vines together, and create a fishing net, if it will help?"

Fish nets would be great, but we might want to teach others how to make a basic mail since it would take weeks for one person to make a halfway decent sized net made of mail.

"yea, ive got a few small squares started off, which is the tricky bit when your new to it! so i'll hand them out, but ive only got one pair of pliars and a small hammer. il go ask the others if they wouldn't mind learning"

and with that, i walk off in the direction of the rest of the group ....
