Forbes is a conservative source. Please listen carefully. For Republicans it is only making a small difference. But it is making a big difference for independents. It is usually not Democrat voters or Republican voters that decide an election. It is the independent voters and it looks as if Trump may be losing a lot of them.

Look at how many Republican voters there are out there. Now look at how many Democratic voters. And even worse, how many independents that there are. You need the independent voters. So do the Democrats, but the latest polls show that as long as you stick with Trump you have lost them.
I do not think that a travel ban is likely. The Secret Service could be given orders to make sure to protect but to also keep him in the coutnry. That would do for security purposes. Nor is prison very likely before an appeal. But a well earned contempt of court charge could be given immediately with not appeal. I suppose he could bring out Trump each day and see if he can own up to how what he did was wrong. I can't see Trump going more than two days without toeing the line and promising to behave in his other upcoming trials.
What makes you think that this might even be under consideration. Travel in ones job is not generally restricted by probation, the point is to know where they are at.
With the Secret Service with him 24/7 that is easily tracked. In fact when they did the raid on Mar a Lardo the knew that Trump was not there.
