Should a Presidential candidate's religious beliefs be a factor in deciding how you vote?

No, it's just my emotional dislike of atheism's implications that life has nothing in the future for the individual besides decrepitude of body and mind and then annihilation.
That is a suck aspect of atheism.
But it doesn't weigh upon many of us.

I've always been fascinated by the desire to go on existing forever. It seems rather tiresome to me. LOL
In Advaita thought you don't exist forever as an individual; you will eventually merge into God/Brahman/One but this takes many lifetimes and experiences of spiritual growth.

It would be the "many lifetimes" part that puts me off. One is enough for me. LOL

Practice unconditional love and detachment well in this lifetime and you may not need a further human life; that is the goal. You can continue your growth on the higher realms after that.

Well for the most part I think I've got the unconditional love thing down. Not perfect by any stretch. Detachment doesn't sound like anything I'll ever find worth striving for.
