Should a woman have to see a sonogram before receiving an abortion?

Nice one Adolf.
Dude, go to Wiki and look up "Godwin's Law."

Your behavior here is disgusting, and my opinion of you lowers with every post. Not exactly a good strategy for convincing people you have the moral high ground.

Oh I see! Only females have the right to say if they can grotesquely murder their own offspring. Now that's motherly love! So much for the innocent Child who dwells within their body. Well what if the baby is a female? Does she have any "choice" to be killed or not? Answer No! She is never given a chance. So what you mean is that the Mother will "dictate" who is worthy to live and who isn't according to her judgement alone . Nice one Adolf.
One, It is not murder because abortion is legal and murder is an unlawful killing.
Two, It is not a child that resides in the mothers belly. It is an embryo or fetus.
It is not a child, infant, or baby until after it is born.
Three, so you would have the unborn be the dictator, the Adolf?

That's just foolish... when only female children are allowed to be murdered in the womb, only THEN would I agree with you.

Other than points one and two, I agree with you.

Killing the child does not take away the horror of the rape.... while I pray I could take away the pain, killing the child does only one thing: kills a child.
I agree.
However what does this have to do with abortion?
Or are you drawing a parallel between aborting due to rape and killing children who are the result of rape?

If we outlawed legalised abortion, what would happen with all of the women that still want an abortion, even if it is illegal?

I do agree that some women would just follow the rule of the law, even if it means that they are stuck with a child that they did not want for the rest of their life, but what about the rest?

We have women doing their own at-home abortions, which are extremely unsafe and can have permanent health consequences. Does this not matter?

What about the increase in orphans, when the women just give birth and drop their child off at the orphanage? Where are they all going? We don't have enough foster parents now, what will happen when we need thousands upon thousands more?

What about women that are the victims of rape or incest? Are they not entitled to an abortion, even though the act of conception was illegal in these cases?

It sounds all well and good to want to criminalise abortions, but there are serious social implications behind the issue that have not been considered.

This thread is not about outlawing abortion. It is about making a well thought out informed choice.

You want to hear about wasted money, ever have a broken toe? They x-ray you and say, yep it's broke and tape it. Guess what they do if it's not broke?
Beh.
I don't go to a hospital if it is something that minor. Only major breaks, like the collar bone get me to go.
I have broken/punctured to many body parts for me to remember them all. Last one was three toes on my right foot and a finger.
All fixed with good old American Duct Tape made in china.

Rookie mistake. I was young and dumb. You can bet I have not made the same decision again.

It would make the procedure a little more important than a trip to the dentist. These clinics try and tell women their child is just a few cells. They make their decision based on that assumption.

Yes I do. Good point. I just want people to realize just exactly what they are doing. Reality is to sever for some folks.

You look at a x-ray before you set a broken bone right? Why?
To verify how the bone is broken and how to set it.
What does this have to do with a woman seeing a sonogram before an abortion?
Nothing.

The fact still remains that you have not presented anything to show how viewing a sonogram provides some sort of information essential to the decision.
Nor have you shown how this viewing of a sonogram is anything other than a sad attempt at eliciting an emotional reaction.

Now your making assumptions, why do you think women don't know whats going on in their own bodies?. We aren't that naive and the doctors who perform these procedures are generally very open about what will happen to you if you ask questions. As i said before having a sonnagram wouldn't change anyones mind if an abortion is what they want its just emotional blackmail.
