Something I kind of forgot about is Trump made the same suggestions about Hilary Clinton back in 2016:

“We should take a drug test prior because I don’t know what’s going on with her, but at the beginning of her last debate she was all pumped up at the beginning and at the end it was, ‘Huh, take me down.’ She could barely reach her car. So I think we should take a drug test. Anyway, I’m willing to do it.”

This is another example of how Trump manipulates his followers and media in order to control them. It's a grift.

And that he repeats the same patterns should be concerning given how his presidency went and how he handled the last election.

This is a fairly good question & I'd be curious myself about the answer to it. I, myself, am not an expert on substances, and I don't think the assertion is that anyone is taking illegal substances (well, I have to say, given that cocaine was found in the White House under the Biden administration, I'm not sure this is necessarily true); I think the idea is that it's something analogous to athletes or body builders taking steroids.

This could be resolved by a drug test, if it shows a positive result and what the drug is; then people can look up what the drug is and what it does.

A test for what? What substance do you want him tested for? Cocaine? What evidence do you have that cocaine enhances cognitive performance or masks dementia or any such thing?

I would say those symptoms seem more like the other guy. Maybe that is why he wears orange paint on his face, to cover up the paleness.
