Should Christians Be Keeping the Sabbath?

I EXCEEDED the law that the Pharisees taught.

I not only obey the ten commandments, I succeed them.

Matthew 5:20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

As for the Sabbath---JESUS IS THE SABBATH REST.
I'm not sure how not keeping a law could be construed as "exceeding" it. Wouldn't that be diminishing from it?

Can you explain why John, Joseph and the women all rested on the Sabbath day right after Yeshua died? Why didn't Yeshua leave the memo? Do you understand Yeshua better than they did?

You are no better than the Catholics. You preach falseness and try to destroy those who know the truth.
go worship your Vicarious filii dei "substitute for the son of god" aka antichrist. the popes legal title says it all. not to mention their blood soaked hands. for you not to know this shows how lost you really are.

Oh how I love the Word of God!

I exceed the ten commandments by having faith in Jesus, and by obeying him by not even being angry with my brother, and not even lusting in my heart

Those who rejected Jesus still sat in Moses' seat. Those were the Pharisees and teachers of the law. They could have you put in prison, tortured, and put to death for going against their rules for the Sabbath.

You are just like the Jews who kill the prophets.

You are not even a Jew, for you pretend to be one.

Revelation 3:9 I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars--I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you.

Even Jesus a Jew who kept all the Jewish laws was crucified and put to death,
Are you learning disabled? There are many learning disabled. If you are learning disabled, do not be afraid to admit it. There are special provisions for you.

Many who call themselves 'Christian' do not understand what that means.

Neither do you understand what it means.
Have you asked yourself. Were Christians better off between 1-3 AD or after Constantine adopted Christianity as the state religion of Rome?

You are as a brute animal without reasoning.

I even go against the Catholics, but as an unreasoning animal, you go against me and all that is holy.

Greek was the language spoken at that time.
It is common knowledge most Jews (house of Judah) residing in areas outside of Judah, i.e.., Galatia, etc., were “hellenes”. Not because they 'were' of Greek descent, but because they 'spoke' Greek. This does not make the Jews in Galatia non-Israelite. The language one speaks or place of residence does not necessarily dictate their ancestral origin.
Galatia is not just “outside of Judah”, it’s about 800 miles north of Jerusalem. “areas outside of Judah” during the Lord Jesus earthly ministry are within the 60 to 70 miles south to north from Jerusalem to Galilee where the Lord Jesus spent most of his ministry, and did not go beyond Sidon which is another 500 to 600 miles more to Asia Minor- and within 10 to 25 miles east to west is the vicinity of Jerusalem. During the earthly ministry of the Lord Jesus the language spoken by many is the Greek language.

When the Jews said “Dispersion/Diaspora” meaning Jews scattering, or had been scattered among the Gentiles in John 7:35, the Jews meant the literal Jews among the literal Gentiles [SG1672] “and teach the Greeks?” [SG1672]. The Jews in John 7:35 did not mean Jews in Gentile Nations in Galatia. What they meant was probably as far as Galilee to Tyre or Sidon. Remember the Lord Jesus did not go beyond Sidon.

Now, who are these Gentiles? They are not the Gentiles/Jews from the 10 lost tribes of Israel you are talking about. [SG1672] “HELLENES” means as the Gentiles/pagans base one 25 instances [read post#186] in the NT where the word “hellenes [SG1672] was referring to the Gentiles in contrast with the Jews.

Gal 2:3 Yet not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, even though he was a Greek [SG1672].

Was Titus a pure Greek/Gentile? Yes!

oh how you love the word of god. well it convicts you
Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him

you are a liar just like the bible says. I never claimed to be a jew because I am not. now go worship your Jesuit child molesting popes. you satanic catholics make me sick
You do pretend to be a Jew. You pretend to obey the old law with all the commandments. When was the last time you washed yourself according to Old Testament scripture? When was the last time you washed yourself after being made unclean for sitting where a woman with a period sat? When was the last time you did a COMMANDED EXTERNAL WASHING, as the OLD TESTAMENT COMMANDS for someone who has a semen ejaculation?

Discharges Causing Uncleanness
15 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When any man has an unusual bodily discharge, such a discharge is unclean. 3 Whether it continues flowing from his body or is blocked, it will make him unclean. This is how his discharge will bring about uncleanness:
4 “‘Any bed the man with a discharge lies on will be unclean, and anything he sits on will be unclean. 5 Anyone who touches his bed must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. 6 Whoever sits on anything that the man with a discharge sat on must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.
7 “‘Whoever touches the man who has a discharge must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.
8 “‘If the man with the discharge spits on anyone who is clean, they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.
9 “‘Everything the man sits on when riding will be unclean, 10 and whoever touches any of the things that were under him will be unclean till evening; whoever picks up those things must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.
11 “‘Anyone the man with a discharge touches without rinsing his hands with water must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.
12 “‘A clay pot that the man touches must be broken, and any wooden article is to be rinsed with water.
13 “‘When a man is cleansed from his discharge, he is to count off seven days for his ceremonial cleansing; he must wash his clothes and bathe himself with fresh water, and he will be clean. 14 On the eighth day he must take two doves or two young pigeons and come before the Lord to the entrance to the tent of meeting and give them to the priest. 15 The priest is to sacrifice them, the one for a sin offering[a] and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement before the Lord for the man because of his discharge.
16 “‘When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 17 Any clothing or leather that has semen on it must be washed with water, and it will be unclean till evening. 18 When a man has sexual relations with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both of them must bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.
19 “‘When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening.
20 “‘Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean. 21 Anyone who touches her bed will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. 22 Anyone who touches anything she sits on will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. 23 Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, they will be unclean till evening.
24 “‘If a man has sexual relations with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days; any bed he lies on will be unclean.
25 “‘When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period or has a discharge that continues beyond her period, she will be unclean as long as she has the discharge, just as in the days of her period. 26 Any bed she lies on while her discharge continues will be unclean, as is her bed during her monthly period, and anything she sits on will be unclean, as during her period. 27 Anyone who touches them will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.
28 “‘When she is cleansed from her discharge, she must count off seven days, and after that she will be ceremonially clean. 29 On the eighth day she must take two doves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 30 The priest is to sacrifice one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement for her before the Lord for the uncleanness of her discharge.
31 “‘You must keep the Israelites separate from things that make them unclean, so they will not die in their uncleanness for defiling my dwelling place,[b] which is among them.’”
32 These are the regulations for a man with a discharge, for anyone made unclean by an emission of semen, 33 for a woman in her monthly period, for a man or a woman with a discharge, and for a man who has sexual relations with a woman who is ceremonially unclean.

Its obvious you are ignoring my request because an answer would expose the lie many Christians have been taught to believe for millennia. Christ will reveal the truth to everyone when He returns. Thanks for the convo.
The conference was primarily about the requirement of circumcision for salvation (Act 15:1). It was not about dissolving any of the 10 commandments. James would be contradicting himself for it was he who said you break one of the ten you break them all (Jas 2:10-11). Nowhere in Act 15 or anywhere else in scripture does it state the fourth commandment is no longer a requirement.
Nowhere in Acts 15 did it say that Gentiles should follow any part of the Law of Moses either.

Let me ask you, do you think you could follow the whole Law of Moses without “stumbling at just one point”? That’s what I think..

Jas 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
Gal 3:10 All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”

Let me ask you again for the 2nd time, do you think you could follow the whole Law of Moses without “stumbling at just one point”?

18Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. 19Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

Did you know that these commands are actually the Law of Moses!!! Uh oh! This means that there are more commands, outside of the 10, that the Holy Spirit instructing Christians to keep…YIKES! But thats not all! These 4 commands were obviously not meant to be the ONLY commands Christians keep. This was a stop gap measure to get gentiles in the door. Check out the next verse:

21For(because) Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. Acts 15: 18-21

The rest of the law of Moses was meant to be learned in time. Also, this implies that gentiles would be learning it in "synagogues" and on the Sabbath!!

This round goes to the Law of YHVH.
