I've seen many baby girls with piercings long before they can give consent. Plenty of young teens(>18) get plastic surgery. These are chosen for oneself as an adult though.

What do you think of the CDC statistics I linked to in the OP and cited in my previous post?
I don't think what you outlined is the only reason someone could be okay with circumcision of children, but I would agree it is a reason many people don't question the practice.
Personally, if I had children, I wouldn't have them circumcised unless it were medically necessary. I would strongly prefer to leave that choice for them when they became adults.
Yes.1) Should circumcision of male infants or children be banned in cases where it is not deemed by doctors to be medically necessary?
No. It should be the decision of the one getting cut, NOT the parents. It's not the parent's life, it is the child's, and as it's a permanent body modification the person receiving it must agree.2) If you think it should be banned, should religious exemptions be granted to people whose religions mandate circumcision of their children?
Why not the choice of the person getting cut?Parents choice, aside from that, leave the government out of it.
Interesting split in the poll numbers.
Let's ask them! Why not the choice of the person getting cut?
We haven't had this one in quite a time. But classics never get old.1) Should circumcision of male infants or children be banned in cases where it is not deemed by doctors to be medically necessary?

Circumcision, like FGM, is an irreversible mutilation and it already is illegal in all civilised countries.
As of February 2018, no European country has a ban on male circumcision.[40]
I would not make it illegal for the sake of the religions which practice it and also for the sake of tribal tats, ear rings and other tribal customs. I don't think we are 'Developed' enough to make decisions for parents of other people's children. First make a human that is demonstrably unselfish. There isn't one, and concern about other people's children is hard to believe. Others will let your children starve, but they think they care about whether you circumcise. No I don't believe it.
People do not care unless it costs them nothing.
Is it one blink for yes and two for no? I can never remember. Why not the choice of the person getting cut?
Not sure if it's been brought up yet, but do you have any idea of the difference in pain between having the procedure at infancy and having it in the teens? A great deal more nerve endings have developed by that age.The thing i have against circumcision is that it is usually done before the baby/child has a say in what happens to their own body. If it were postponed until (say) mid to late teens then fine with disclosure and the agreement of whomever was to undergo the procedure.

This was my initial thought as well, but the difference is this:It is not uncommon for people to get their child's ears pierced when they are infants.
Not that I see much harm in that, just sayin.
Explain.Which is absolutely irrelevant.
My response was sarcasm. Was yours? In case of doubt, it is always a no.
Since you didn't preface your reply to me with this, I'm left to conclude that your response to me was intended to be offensive. No offense intended but: Of no relevance.
Mutilation is illegal. As I said there is an exception for circumcision, a special immunity for those who ritually (or for tradition) mutilate male infants. In any other case those committing such a crime go to prison for some years. Is it? I googled and found nothing about a ban anywhere except that Iceland had considered a ban. For example:
