Should Muslims be forbidden from practicing polygamy?

The prophet Muhammad was a polygamist. Should there be laws that forbid Muslims from imitating their Prophet?

If you are a Muslim, you must have no objection to polygamy, right?because it was the practice of the Prophet whom God chose to bring the world the true Faith, it can't be a bad thing, right?
It's not because of Prophet's Mohamed SAWS practice, it's because of Allah's allowed to Muslims.
Muslim doesn't object any Islamic Law, If he does, he's no longer Muslim.
We're proud of all Islamic Law. It's for the benefits of individual, family, and people.

Tell me, your native behavior as a human is distorted.
You find it's normal for a man to have relationship with multiple women and a woman to have multiple relationships with many men but
you see polygamy should be banned

In now times how can one afford to have 4 wives, support yourself and children. If you can afford it, then why not?

Polygamy as solution of bachelorhood and spinsterhood is better than prostitution or not being married at all.

How do you figure that? If rich men are marrying all the women in the area then what are poorer men supposed to do? How can they find a partner if more affluent men are marrying more than their fair share?

Not Just Islam allow this,I think most of religion do.

How many is in a "most" here?

So do you agree or disagree with the notion that apostates should be put to death for leaving Islam?

Alpha male takes it first, because its better for the race. Right? Stronger male will breed stronger children. Right?

Why should muslims be forbidden practicing polygamy anyways? Look at the animal world for example. It was God's plan for alpha males to get all the women. Wise human breeds wise humans.

Who said alpha males were wise? If you think a system that treats women as property and delegates the acquisition of sex to the most connected and aggressive males is good for society, then you're deluded. You're not going to get a stable society that way.

But hey, if animal mating patterns are to be the model for Islamic courting culture, then I won't judge. I just don't want to see such backwardness imported into my culture.

Ah, but those stupid recessive genes, though ...

Wow. In nature, females can also attack and kill when they don't want any. Black widows and preying mantises actually eat their husbands.

You surprised me !!!!
The question is not agree or disagree, the question is it in Islamic Law or not. If It's in Islamic Law, I don't have the luxury option agree/disagree.

FYI, killing apostates (after extensive conversation ) is not in Quran (BTW It's in Torah) but in true authenticated Hadeeth. So, It's in Islamic law.

However some new cute scholars who likes to comfort you and look nice saying not to be killed until he works against the state.

First of all, social darwinism, ew. Second, you'd make a great capitalist. Third, richer does not equal 'stronger'. Fourth, that isn't an answer to the question I asked which was aimed at Godobeyer: how does polygamy address the problem of bachelorhood if there are no women around for poorer men to marry because the rich guys have married them all? Would that not, in fact, make it worse?

Actually it was. You said:

Given the fact there are Muslims out there who believe execution as a punishment for leaving Islam is extreme and inexcusable, your claim of them not being Muslims seems like a swing at the No True Scotsman fallacy. So I'm asking, do you agree that people who leave Islam should be put to death for it? Further, do you believe that non-Muslims should be subject to the laws of a religion they're not part of? How is that moral or ethical?

How is it being in the Torah relevant?

"New cute scholars"? I'm not sure that's entirely true. I think @Servant_of_the_One1 holds this position, thus he can tell you more about it than I can.

There's many things to develop here.
First the reason why it's allowed, our personal choice as muslims, then the current situation.

1 Actually the muslims were suggested to marry widow women when marriyng multiple women like the prophet did.
Many of the Prophet's wives were widow or he married them for political reasons.
Muhammad's wives - Wikipedia

2 It's not an obligation for muslims to marry multiple women, it's not an obligation for women to accept polygamy.
If they disagree and the man still marry an other woman she can divorce.

3 Some muslim countries forbid polygamy : Turkey and Tunisia
In many muslim countries it's not that common, i think it's more the old generation
Muslims living abroad (non muslim countries) in general don't marry more than one woman, except some from the old generation.

I don't know anyone who married multiple wives.
I think it's more for the rich people or from old generation.

It's part of the nature to have alpha males. Right? Monkeys have them, dogs have them, lions have them and many more. It was designed that way for a reason. Strong gorilla breeds strong gorillas.

I don't think there should be any laws against polygamy, whether it's regarding Muslims or Mormons or anyone else. I always thought that was a pretty dumb law - even dumber and more oppressive than laws against marijuana. As long as there's no coercion or force involved, as long as all parties enter into the arrangement of their own free will, then I don't see what the problem is.

Nature also has same-sex mated pairs raising offspring. Nature also has cannibalism. Nature also has inbreeding and incest.

Are you really sure you want to go down this road of equating 'natural' with 'moral'?

Polygamy is not a victimless sexual practice between consenting adults. It destroys the ratio of men to women so that if one man has 10 wives 9 men cannot have a wife. It arrogantly gives whoever has more power the surplus right to, by force and effect, inflict involuntary celibacy and sterilization upon those whose fair share of opportunity to marry has been stolen from them
But more that that, the viciously selfishness of it and any religion's tolerance of it disproves any claim to have any connection to a loving god. Remember, those religious cultures that have a history of practicing this perversion that hurts innocent people also practiced castration. (In the Byzantine empire, "I cut off the left testicle in the name of the Father, the right testicle in the name of the Son, and the penis in the name of the Holy Ghost, Amen.") How can anybody worship a god that is so sadistic and evil as to allow it? Can you blame prople for turning to atheism?

I didn't say that people who believe that apostate is not killed are non-Muslim.
What I said precisely and I repeat, If Muslim find something in Law, he doesn't have the option. Nevertheless, he should like and support it.
I repeat, It's not about me. Killing the apostate is in Islamic Law. I accept and like.
The apostate was Muslim in the first instance. right ?
Islam is un-cancelled contract .
Moral and Ethics !!!!
Please tell me, What is your reference of definition of Moral and Ethics to see if the Law is compliant or not ?
Is it fixed ? absolute ? not subject to change ?
How is it being in the Torah relevant?
Not relevant!!!
It's Allah Law for the true religions.

This opinion (not killing) is supported by modern scholars, He's convinced with the modern scholars Fatwa, It's not like somebody else who rejects something while he's sure that it's in the Law

Dear Moslems,
Why do you justify polygamy ?
It's not shameful at all. Don't let somebody take you to their land.
Islamic law is from the Creator who knows human beings and their needs very well.

It's almost allowed in all societies/religions all over the history.
Only most of Christian Churches ban it but actually with no Biblical basis.
I think it was allowed at certain circumstances in Christian world for temp.

These people who are attacking natural and legal way to love multiple women have no issue with multi-mistress, homosexuality, group sex,,, soon (I bit with all what I've) they'll allow incest soon

Regards
